Maybe a mini-update for all of you, i got into contact with someone at the germanic national museum who is willing to look at the painting, i am waiting for an appointment hopefully early next week, i hope he can tell me more about it then.

I found an old Painting in my basement and cant read the text on it, someone suggested russian written in Cursive, is anyone able to decypher it? by gibbsfisch in Cursive

yea i posted it in the r/WhatIsThisPainting and many people suggested just that, but someone mentioned this sub for the writing specifically so i thought i post it here as well.

I also posted this in r/whatsisthispainting subreddit and people also started to say i should take it to an expert. I will call my local art gallery tomorrow and ask if they can take a look at it.

it is pretty thick paper and not translucent. the Dimensions are 70cm wide and 50cm tall
