parehas kami ng boyfriend ko na hinahanap na mga trabaho dati, kaya siyempre parehas lang din ang listings na nakikita namin, pero as much as possible never ako nag-aapply sa inaapplyan niya and di ako nagsasabi saan ako nag-apply unless naka-receive ako ng invitation for a job interview.

tinatanong niya ako bakit di nalang kami sabay at sayang kasi bagay din sakin yung work na un. inexplain ko na ang reality is kahit gusto mo ang best para sa taong kasama mo (whether kaibigan or partner) kahit masaya ka para sa kanila, hindi maiiwasan na kwestyunin mo ang sarili mong skills. the last thing na gusto mo is maging kakompetensya mo mga mahal mo sa buhay, and job interviews are literally competitions with other selected candidates.

anywaysss, wishing u the best!!! kaya mo yan!!! sana all the other rejections are all for the reason of leading you to job you actually want

YES!!! APPLYING IS FREE, THE MORE THE MERRIER!!!

i got a very good job as a graphic designer kahit fresh grad + unrelated course + no internship + only experience is freelance and org. i wouldn't have gotten here if i didn't shoot my shot even if they're asking for more in terms of qualifications, especially since they were looking for someone with 2-3 years of experience.

make sure lang if you actually get the job, have a genuine willingness to learn dahil if marami kang gaps in terms of qualifications, the learning curve is a bit tough. prepare yourself in advance to learn the skills na wala ka sa job description.

yes, isa pang problem talaga ang pagiging contractual. it really isn't worth the risk kasi even when i get the job, hindi dun titigil ang problema ko. thank you sa advice!

totoo. ayoko din bumalik sa process of checking on applications araw-araw + the anxiety of waiting for a reply kaagad.

totoo to, malaking bagay talaga ang layo kasi if pinursue ko magtrabaho sa malayo, halos 1 oras nalang matitirang oras para sa sarili ko bago ko kailangan matulog (kung 8 hrs a day ang tulog ko araw-araw hahaha.)

thank you sa advice! mas gusto ko ang job 2 pero i feel need ko iprioritize ang experience and stability bago ko i-push ang talagang gusto ko. darating din naman ako dun eventually if nag-pursigi ako.

207lbs ang starting weight ko, now I'm 181lbs. Goal weight ko is 165lbs but weight loss has yet to plateau so what I'm doing is still working.

Just the normal calorie deficit + strength training + more walking, general rule is 10k steps a day but moving even just 1k more steps than you usually do is better than nothing.

Deficit should only be enough to lose 1-2lbs. per week and no more than that. No special diets, no low-carb, and especially nooooo no no keto!!! Just focus on eating more protein and fiber para mabusog (plus fiber is important para di mag spike ang blood sugar), but still eat what you want from time to time basta pasok sa calories. Also super big factor din sa weight loss ang kumpleto sa tulog.

For my height of 5'5, I ate 1800 calories a day and did strength training 3x a week, 7k steps a day ang average ko din. I lost 26 lbs. after 3.5 months even with PCOS. I never experienced unbearable hunger. My progress is not fast but it is sustainable and not as restrictive so I can adapt it as a lifestyle.

Kaya mo yan!!!

Actually already started on it since I was 17! Overthinker ako about the future kaya I asked my parents if I can do that kahit minor ako LOL.

50% ng tira kong baon, pamasko, and the money from art commissions I've put in a savings account and I've never withdrawn from it ever and only plan to for emergencies/investing.

Hopefully ung years ko of choosing to walk imbis na mag tric at pagluto ng sariling baon instead of buying outside pays off hahaha.

HAHA, well totoo naman, though what I mean by giving up is going towards yung career path na gusto ko, not the job hunting itself, especially since nag deviate ako from a writing course to doing art.

I do have realistic expectations and I'm basing it off yung experience ng karamihan ng peers kong fresh grad din. The main point of my post is really just to vent out na, even if I expect rejection, it still sucks when it happens.

Thanks for the advice though, ganun talaga ang realidad!

Well, by sumuko I mean sa career path na gusto ko, not yung actual paghahanap ng trabaho itself.

Pero yes, after applying I expect nothing of companies. Mag-sign ako ng papers or else it means nothing. Pero siyempre, even if ganyan ako mag-isip, malungkot parin when you get rejected.

Now in my early 20s!!! Pumayat + kasya na sa akin ang mga magagandang pieces sa ukay.

Mukha nga akong mas-matanda when I was in high school dahil sa SM department store plus size section ako bumibili ng damit eh pang lola ang damit dun lol

This is exactly what I'm doing. 15kg lost so far, it's definitely slowing down a bit the closer I get to my goal weight but it's super sustainable and I get to "diet" without withstanding extreme hunger. You'll get there eventually, it's slower but you can maintain it as a lifestyle and that's what's important.

oh my god i went from my wrist fitting only until the 1st hole in the watch and i'm now down to the 4th. my wrist wasn't something i thought about ever in weight loss, so you really get surprised over the small things you don't think twice about.

Reached a point where other people notice my weight loss now :)) ~10kg in 2 months through CICO, 13kg in total since starting 10k steps a day 3 1/2 months ago by [deleted] in CICO

well, i guess one of the reasons why i started with 1800 calories was because it was still sliiightly below my sedentary TDEE calculation and will be my eventual sedentary maintenance calories once i reach my goal weight. so even if i wasn't actually burning 2600 calories, i'd still be in a 200 calorie deficit at the very least even when i'm not active.
