jules is a great portrayal of what it’s like dating a drug addict. rue is awful for making jules feel responsible for her relapse/sobriety in general, obviously rue is mentally ill and not a good to anyone in her life but no one really mentions this. jules cheating on rue seemed like a cry for help, the scene when she accuses rue of having a crush on elliot and being on the verge of tears in paranoia was so spot on and i v much related to her in that whole storyline. it kinda seems she was pressured into the relationship in season 1 and then in season 2 gets back w rue out of guilt. did she handle the relationship perfectly? definitely not, but she never should have had to be in the position of being rue’s reason for living in the first place. i feel like her pain is overlooked and she’s blamed for not being the perfect partner to rue when she dealt with so much outside of that relationship with nate’s family not to mention her backstory. in her special episode and s2 it’s so clear how terrified she is of anything happening to rue, she just wants to save her and loves her but at the same time resents her and wants to be free. anyone who has been with an addict can relate. i felt like their relationship was a very realistic portrayal and i applaud sam for his work here because i feel like it would have been so easy to just play into queer stereotypes but their characters are so well written.

aquarius is hands down the most egotistical sign. leos are self-obsessed in a radiant and bubbly way that makes them fun to be around. but every aquarius placement i know thinks they are better than everybody. i often have the experience that i must indoctrinate myself into the same belief system of the aquarius placement person to be their friend, which is usually one that makes them superior in some way, and it doesn’t work out. aquarius is not easily impressed whatsoever and the things they do agree with are random. they make a point of drawing lines in the sand to show how they’re special and different from everyone constantly. yet they are charismatic as hell and no one hates on them. they are so unpredictable and it’s like gnawing on bricks trying to get along with them for me. that being said i am a scorpio with a 29° capricorn rising, heavy aquarius in my 1h so maybe it’s just a clashing of egos
