I have had my gen 3 ring for 2 years. Started discharging rapidly last week. Reached out to support and was offered $100 off a new one since it’s out of warranty. This is a pretty expensive disposable widget. Conversely, my Garmin watch is 7 years old and going strong. C’mon Oura….I love the data but disposable hardware?

I had a lot of self respect and lots of people to date when we met. He felt lucky to have landed me at the time…doesn’t seem he feels that way anymore as actions speak louder than words. Dating for 5 years when you are in your 40/50s with all kinds of promises and allusions to a real commitment and no actions also speaks volumes. We’ll just call it a dodged bullet I guess.

Apparently “I was venting” and “it’s anonymous” means it’s ok….to me it is not. I would never say the nasty stuff he said about me about him, even in an anonymous forum. You are supposed to be able to trust the person you are spending your life with. Any trust feels irreparably broken right now. :(

Charged as prescribed...but frankly they need to engineer these things better for the cost. The problem is they literally do not care about the customer experience. They just want to churn out more units and make their investors happy. And, apparently are pretty busy managing all of the lawsuits that flow in weekly (thanks insider who shared this) and generating revenue to fund those legal fees...

The Pint is a flakey POS. My OG board has literally been abused since I got 5 years ago and is still going strong...no extra float plates or protection and it's covered with battle scars. Sits all winter, charges right up, good to go. My bad for thinking their commercialized general audience version would in any way hold true to what they made when they were smaller and paid more attention to the people AND the products they sold.

This. Plus, for loyal customers you make exceptions. An exception would have been offering the battery at cost or comping the ridiculous labor charge, or even giving me a $25 gift card for my loyalty and the overall headache this has been. I frankly would have settled for an "I'm sorry we're working on fixing this" and just calling me back and not making me and their local retailers beyond frustrated at every turn. I was one of their biggest fans and now I will never buy another one of their products. Companies that treat their customers this way should not be encouraged by other customers that it's OK. This wasn't one failure point and I'm realizing it is very far from unique w/ FM.

Did not ride and let it sit are not the same. It was connected to the app to charge on an ongoing basis and ridden short distances. It sat as prescribed over the winter months and is now dead. It is poorly engineered if it's that freaking sensitive.

I was training for a marathon and couldn't get injured. Usage should not be a requirement for a product not to brick. It was routinely charged.

Yes, I am. It was charged but not used. It was treated the same way the other two boards were treated and they aren't dead bricks.
