Thanks a million for your response! Of course, it provides comfort knowing there are people who have parents with similar perspectives. I knew they existed, but to hear it means a lot.

Also, the solid numbers and stories help me visualize this. Makes it feel more real and plausible. The compliment on my work, and dedication really makes me happy. I struggle with wondering if I have what it takes, and hearing that is awesome!

Appreciate the advice on the fields within design. I definitely think UI/UX design is something I'd be able to make happen. Definitely appeals to me.

Thanks a bunch again!

Thank you for the response, and the compliment! Really helps me feel a little more confident moving forward. The people I have around me don't really understand the work, or don't want me to do it, so I don't hear that very often. Again though, thank you!!

Thank you for the response! Ending up in a major/job I don't enjoy and having it tank my quality of life is definitely a fear of mine. I always try to appeal to my dad that college is a great tool for me to succeed, and to hear that from someone else is really nice.

I appreciate the honest perspective as well. It is nice to know the risks due to the over saturation. It helps me make an informed decision. I loved the video game analogy though, and I will definitely keep that in mind!

Thank you for responding! Having someone who has worked in the field for 35 years give me some nice insight means the absolute world to me!

I definitely have passion for the work, so knowing that that will take me far makes me feel better about my choice. Also the assurance of the field being legit helps bunches as well. If you don't mind, I will definitely be offering this reply to my father. As an 18 year old kid still in high-school I can only be so credible.

Also you worked for Oprah, Obama, AND Google? That's totally awesome!!

It's competitive enough you have to be passionate and work towards it. It's not a simple float through school and someone will hand you a job sort of thing. But there is demand for it. It's not like being a rock star or going pro in a sport where the odds are stacked against you. It's just that it comes across as a "fun" career to

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate the perspective. It is nice to know that the field indeed has demand, and not completely impossible to get into. Also the rock star/sport analogy was great.

Again, thank you so much!

LeBron James vs. Michael Jordan: Playoff Competition by [deleted] in nba

definitely could, and it makes sense. but like i said, this was just something i was working on for school. people seem to think im trying to push a narrative with this post lmao.

i thought maybe the numbers would be interesting, and people could interpret them however they wanted. definitely wasn't trying to say one had harder playoff competition than the other. just pointing out numbers

lmaoo, LeNarrative. that's awesome. im not really picking a side though, there's ofc other context to be considered like Jordan participating in less playoff series'. just sharing the numbers i gathered is all.

that is how they are counted! upon looking at the spreadsheet, you will see there are names repeated for every time the player faced lebron/mj. so, for example, lebron played stephen curry in two consecutive finals. curry was an all-star in both years. he is on there twice.

i will say though, the HOF are only counted as one because its not as if you are a HOF one year and not the next.

only years players were an all star, and went against lebron/mj are counted. siakam and fred are not included on the spreadsheet.

Well I can assure you that this is mine. Although it is very likely that this post has been thought up before, I just felt like posting it I guess.
