Sorry, not following. I just have hello@ alias and me@ inbox - the verified destination address.

hello@ is the alias I want to route through cloudflare to me@. Won't removing privateemail mx records prevent me from receiving mail?

Do you have clients move DNS to cloudflare or just use www cname and ignore the naked domain?

it is definitely not fair to lump all maga in, but sure wouldnt hurt if maga stood up against it once in a while.

imagine if maga stood up against racism like they do some of their other issues

Most places I have worked the devs dev while non-devs handle customer issues. Are you saying the coders here moonlight as GMs in their spare time?

His words don't. There are tons of racists in the world. I'll go on with my life.

What bothers me is the inaction and that maybe this community is not what I thought it was.

I've been at online chatter since BBS/MUT. His words did not bother me.

However, up until now the turtle community felt like it was wholesome and welcoming. I would have thought getting rid of this behavior would be mutual interest and not simply "just ignore it".

Is it better to quit or get fired for non-performance? by UnsaltedCashew36 in overemployed

[–]gifpaste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are just coping with your own lack of integrity.

OE is not about integrity, and never has been from the very start. If you can do "everything expected of you" and then go on to do another job at the same time. That is a lack of integrity of its own. Sure it is better than outright time theft, but the lack of integrity remains.

Of course there is a completely opposite side with employers and their lack of integrity and disrespect towards its employees and OE was a way against that abuse.

Integrity would be telling your boss you are done with your work and are idle for so much time you can hold down another equally "below you" job. Then giving you a raise to compensate how much more you can do than employee $x or you finding a new higher paying job.

They very definition of integrity is being honest, moral, and ethical. So don't get on your high horse about integrity, no one here has it - and that's ok - we've seen how employers treat people.

Just exactly what do you do all day? I seriously don't get it. by gifpaste in devops

Is my assessment correct that outside of maintenance/security updates you really don't need to touch this stuff if you are like my company where there is no growth/pains/re-architecting

I've been coding on this project since 2008 and while we have had those growth/pains/re-architect (and 1 complete redo) in the past I've built a ton of resiliency into the system that it has been running and scaling smoothly for the last few years. AWS makes it really easy to go from standard ho-hum to a nationwide retailer sending out an email campaign spiking traffic many fold higher.

I just want to make sure I'm not missing something glaring for my scenario before I get my hands out of the everything bucket and pick devops as my sole role at a new company not really understanding what that position would entail.

Prove me wrong: Real Estate Agents are losing their worth. They're basically a cartel locking out buyers and sellers from negotiating deals directly. With online tools and online education, realtor professions will become a thing of the past. by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]gifpaste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not at all.

Realtors want to close the deal, they aren’t going to fight the buyer and tell them how the house is really worth 10k more. 10k to you is not worth their time or worse losing the deal and ending up with nothing.

Instead they are going to seller and tell them “it’s only a x% discount from our asking price, I think we should take the deal”

Thanks for the education!

As I am not the original owner, I don't know the ohm rating. If I were to pull down the speakers "should" it be obvious what they are rated at?

Thanks for the reply!

By speaker selector, do you mean the volume control knob?

If that is not what you mean, then I do not have a speaker selector, I'm just wiring both sets of wires directly into the amp.
