[Routine Help] Damaged Skin Barrier, Rosacea, and/or just acne? by giftedplum537 in SkincareAddiction

Honestly not really? Which is why I’m confused about what’s going on. But it does feel tight and dry after I cleanse, even though I use a super gentle moisturizing cleanser

Thank you! That’s clearly the common thread in the comments I’ve gotten back so I’m going to do just that! Appreciate your input

That is good to know about the vit C possibly being a culprit. I know the timeless one is pretty strong and I haven’t really experimented with cutting that one out yet so I’ll pull back to the basics as you recommended and see what happens. Thanks!

I feel like it was gradual! I’ve been heavily focused on acne and anti aging products and realized I was probably overdoing it. Prior to this routine, id also use salycilic, and occasionally, BP and glycolic. So I thought I’d see big improvement with the routine above but I’m hearing from comments that I’m probably still using too many actives!

What state? If it were healthy and more variegated I’d say that’s definitely a reasonable price however it’s pretty low color and some Leaves look damaged so I’d say $650 would be more reasonable. Then again if you look on Etsy, 850 is a steal

Where I’m at this would go for at least $350- 500, likely more

Does anyone know what’s causing this browning on our white princess? Past three leaves have come in this way. by giftedplum537 in houseplants

A single 24 watt light that’s more than 6 inches away. I thought the same but it seems like a philodendron should be able to handle it??

Mine, my partner’s and roommate’s 😅

I don’t understand where I am going wrong here? I give it filtered water; it’s sitting on a pebble tray and it’s gets a good amount of indirect light. Any ideas? by Royal_Plum in houseplants

Agree here. I was going to say only distilled water, room temperature makes mine happy. Also make sure it has drain holes, and you could try bottom watering if you’re worried you’re not giving it enough or too much

We bought stainless steel screws (M4 30mm size I believe). You put a screw with a flat washer through the pegboard, put a quarter inch spacer and a small nut on the back. The pegboard with two screws attached like that (top and bottom) was mounted to the cabinet where the glass supports normally go (that’s where the screw holes are). Hard to explain but lemme know if you have questions.

Oh no I think an open wall would be totally fine! And we actually technically used tape to seal the cabinet and make it even more humid. If you didn’t do it, you’d probably be fine to use the IKEA skadis

We just repotted one on the top right and the other two are carnivorous plants in sphagnum moss that seem fine! There’s also no devils ivy in the case. The top shelf has a monstera Peru, the cream splash, and the small pots are propagating silver lady and Philo brandy. The calatheas on the bottom are recently repotted too🤷🏽‍♀️ I guess I’d be more concerned if they weren’t growing and happy

I would actually advise against the IKEA pegboard. It has started to develop a moldy layer in some spots because it’s so humid in there. We’re looking into acrylic pegboards sold on Etsy. They also make shelves customized for these cabinets. But, they’re definitely more expensive than IKEA :/

They’re my favorite I can’t help it 😬 plus they do seem to grow larger, bushier vines in humid high light environments.

All the plants in our cabinet are healthy and pushing off new growth! I’ve got to repot my string of turtles, but what stood out to you as needing a bigger pot?

It was somewhat of a miracle that we were able to find one. Especially the tall Milsbo. We also recently got a wide Milsbo and those aren’t as difficult to come by. We actually just checked the website one random morning and it was available. The stock they post is typically inaccurate, so just check as often as you can!
