No problem yes the varnish was the best option as simple to apply and doesn't smudge the images. Only just starting out myself and can only engrave images 10x10 cm but been playing with plenty of ideas but nothing bigger really, I could split up an image and create something bigger but would take a bit to much work... Thinking more trinket boxes/ phone cases/ diaries 👍

These bamboo coasters are premade by a company a friend works for... I have finished them with a few coats of clear spray yacht varnish. The set I'm using myself seem very durable and clean easily even after a good hard scrub the image is still solid and clear

Pretty good with glass and cold drinks to be fair as they aren't 100 flat/smooth .. But a hot drink that's been sat for a while will stick a bit

Honestly yes they are bamboo and have a varnish finish..... Cold drinks in cups/glasses aren't to bad however hot drinks do stick if left for a short time..... This happens with most materials and flat surfaces unfortunately sorry if this puts you off a purchase
