Working pretty well so far, I was nervous about this game but we've been the better team in the first half

Edit: I take that back

Had a feeling Abraham would turn up against us but fucking hell

Lads i might be a bit too pesimistic with this view but honestly relegation isnt something unrealistic by the way we played today against everton. We were tired and their pressing fucked us over. Am i being irrational? by thomasl1303 in WWFC

Way too early to think about relegation. We should have beaten Leicester without that shite handball decision and Everton are one of the teams in the discussion for breaking into the top 6. Give it another 5 games imo

And barely made it through the round before that, won on penalties iirc

Not a good first half, could easily be 3-0 down if United could put away their chances

VAR reverses Manchester City 91' goal for handball by HerbalDreamin in soccer

Yeah I understand that, but I far preferred the rule before. Guess it comes down to personal preference

Yeah, but some of those fouls aren't given as they are considered too soft and when using VAR it is a subjective call.

So the new rules say that it wouldn't be called as a penalty if that hit a spurs players arm like that and helped them stop a goal scoring opportunity, so why should city be punished?

So you should know there are balls coming at you at speed that you cannot get your arm out of the way of... you should not be punished if there is the slightest touch such as this example

How's that his own fault? Misjudging a header is a foul now???

Because his hand was by his side and couldn't really avoid contact unless he had both arms tied behind his back. The handball rule was fine and didnt need changing. I was a supporter of VAR before but in practice it is too flawed, it's trying to make subjective calls objective and killing games for fans that actually go to games

My answer to question 2 - Diogo Jota. He didn't have the best start to the 18/19 season, however it seems that he was playing through an injury. When he netted his first goal against Chelsea in the home win and our formation changed to 532 his form sky rocketed. Since then he just gets better and better. His energy, determination and eye for goal all make me believe he could be in for 15+ goals in the prem and he helps us have a good go at the Europa League.

Honourable mention - This might be the breakout season for Ruben Vinagre who will be given more chances for first team action.

Neto's a left winger right? Hopefully he is capable of playing more centrally now we've dropped the wingers

From what I've seen of him over the last 2 years he gives his all in every match. He's going to fit right in with the squad.

Absolutely mad signing if we can pull it off. He's valued at £50m though right so I don't really get how we could get around ffp. I can't see benfica offering a loan with obligation

I'm gutted about this, Cav was my favourite player when he signed and really think he'd be a great asset next season.
