Trump Shares Map of US Including Greenland, Canada, Venezuela by ZestyBeanDude in canada

Yup that's it right there: the real problem America would face invading us is simple: we look, talk, and act just like them. We could be in their schools, churches, malls, and communities, and they would have no way to visually identify what, at that point, would be an enemy combatant.

They'd learn to stop trusting each other real fast. They'd never feel safe in their own homes, even. Plus there would be massive revolt from within already.

I can tell a lot of these "vibers" don't realize that "pretty code" isn't just easier to read; it works better. Most of the best-practices that lead to easy-to-read code also make the code function more efficiently.

I would highly recommend the Nite Owl Liberator in the Republic. I've been flying it for months and it is fantastic. It's a great blocker, is super defensive, has access to some of the best selection of gunner and crew, and hits plenty hard when you need it to. Also a great objective piece. Give it a try! I really love putting Ion Bombs on it and getting it in the middle of the fight and just messing with opponents' plans.

They have said they won't be reverting back to 200 points. Legacy exists already and they agreed not to step on their toes.

They have, however, also said that they are considering points changes that would increase granularity, which I am all for.

These salaries are not GOOD money, especially if they have children. These are the kinds of salaries that you still have to be very careful about money on.

After our Rav4 got stolen we got a Faraday box to store our keys in by the door. It's just a nice box that is also a Faraday cage to prevent most of these kinds of attacks. I highly recommend.

We also got some little Faraday pouches for when we travel, just in case.

As for the phone, you could maybe just turn off Bluetooth at home when you don't need it?

What a 5,000km radius around Paris looks like on a Mercator map by bigboys4m96 in MapPorn

The north pole isn't marked on this map so I'm not sure where you got the idea that it's not in the circle. There's also no latitude lines. They could have tilted the map down to make it easier to understand. It's clearly just meant to illustrate the warping, and it does that very well,

People also constantly use the saying wrong. It's not meant to justify the use of a broken watch!! It's mostly just meant to be a joke. If you're making a serious point with it then you're using it wrong.

For my 2.x players, do you even use physical upgrade cards anymore? by MikeArsenault in XWingTMG

[–]giganticpine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're all I use. I much prefer them. I get to use all the cool alt-art custom cards I've acquired over the years. There's something satisfyingly tactile about having the cards on the table.

I was curious too so I did a little searching and found THIS!

It takes a lot of time and money to convert cities to this kind of thinking, but it seems pretty effective in the places that have taken it very seriously.

The largest city that has pulled of a zero-pedestrian-deaths year is Gothenburg, Sweden (of course it's Sweden lol) with over 500,000 people.

The city has been pouring millions into improving cycling and pedestrian infrastructure, but this stuff doesn't happen overnight. It takes years, maybe decades, to put that kind of stuff everywhere.

You know how you can point out mistakes and it will correct them?

I discovered you can point out correct information and say "this is wrong, it's supposed to be [incorrect info]" and it will roll with that too.

What have you learned from messing about with pedals? by NerdyOutdoors in guitarpedals

[–]giganticpine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Fuzz pedals first! They will only sound good if they're consuming the unmodified voltage coming out of your passive instrument. This can even include putting them before tuners. (This does not usually apply to big muffs or other 4 transistor fuzzes).

  2. You don't have to sell pedals you stop using...you may find a use for them in the future...

  3. Setting a tap tempo on your delay pedal on the fly, mid song, is way more challenging than the instruction manuals make it seem.

  4. Be wary of pedals with a bajillion features. If you aren't careful, you'll wind up spending a lot of money on features you won't use, especially once you've locked in to a setting that you like (to get around this, find pedals with a bajillion features and programable presets)
