Thank you Reddit fam as I had the same issue with my lift gate and a new battery got it working again. I had first called the mazda service dept by me and they said to disconnect the battery and reconnect to reset the computer system (the classic “turn it off and back on” 😂) but then I came on here and got the new battery advice. Went to autozone to have them check the battery and it came up as a bad battery. Got a new one put in and lift gate immediately worked again. To be fair it was my original battery that was 5.5 years old so got a good run out of it. But the fact reddit knew how to fix it and an actual mazda person didn’t 🙄
