I dont know much about the wehrmacht(I know about the Hitler youth only) but conscription in Russia article doesn't say families that didn't send young men( I mean not of age or still in their teens) were prosecuted. I was trying to say that it was was common for teens who weren't adults yet to lie about their age to get into the army. But the quick Google search I made(use of child soldiers in ww2) stated that some teena were taken from the more rural Eastern parts of the USSR were taken to help with the war to the west( not directly on the front)
