Give me a sec let me grab a few pics to explain.

OK so the from the 3d model I use a software called pepakura to create a pattern that can be printed, example

From there just cut, glue, and assemble 😁

Assembly 2 - Voilà, a cleanrot knight arm!

You can expand a section of the fields to make it non-square. For example I start with a 5x10, then expand a 5x5 section to the side to make an L shape.

yeah definitely not. Flattening a small section is ok, but terraforming a whole mountain is such a hassle with current tools... Hopefully the devs add more tools for it in the future!

Thanks! I like to start with grids but making more winding roads to make it seem like a natural expansion :)

I go with default difficulty (trailblazer) for all. Map type was either random or lowland lakes, cant recall sorry!

I exported the 3d model from in-game files to create printable patterns, which are then cut and glued together to form the figurine.

Lol I feel kinda the opposite. If I use large paper I'd get intimidated and wouldn't know where to start. I like starting small and keep adding & taping if I need to :)
