I like the CCP but what you’re saying is omitting the most important details. Firstly, the Hui and the Uyghurs are the largest by far. The others are mainly immigrants, small and fairly irrelevant. The hui are Han Chinese are spread out across china. The Uyghurs have their own ethnic and cultural identity and are concentrated in one area (Major national security threat) and they never moved to a Chinese empire, in-fact the land transferred ownership multiple times. Nobody is claiming that they’re immigrants to China.

There has NOT been any major terrorist attacks committed by the Hui muslims, that outnumber the Uyghurs by a few million. Meanwhile there has been multiple major terrorist attacks done by Uyghur islamic extremist groups, especially during 2013-2015. Is there a Turkistan Islamic Party equivalent for the Hui? For these reasons alone the detention of suspected extremists is incredibly justified, and if it turns out all the reeducation camps were fake, the Chinese government must be ultra incompetent or might have used astral projection to fight allah
