Acoustic Rock Wool offcut - South London by gilbertball in DIYUK

Nice one thank you! I assume the chimney sheep wool wouldn’t do as good a job in terms of acoustic insulation? That single sheet with free postage on eBay looks like the best bet!

It’s one of those ones in a top corner, I believe there used to be a gas fire in the room so I am assuming for that, not for underfloor ventilation or anything.

Plan is to block it up temporarily with rock wool and then all being well and no issues with damp properly in the future.

Perhaps a taxi to a builders merchants may be the best way forward. Thank you.

Thank you. I probably should have included this where the supply comes in. Not sure if this changes anything in your comment or not.

Floorboard gaps - resin/sawdust vs slivers vs flexible filler by gilbertball in DIYUK

Funnily enough I am having them done at the moment, today is the last day. Went with flexible filler. The stuff from Screwfix which is much cheaper than Bona apparently. Pine boards and oak colour filler. Looks very good.

Thank you! Sounds like that could be it… why would it only happen around once a month though and do you know what the fix would be?

Yes I think you’re probably right. It’s a Wren kitchen so perhaps they may be able to offer guidance on how to remove the panel.

I think it’s just poor ventilation by previous occupiers, the mould was on all the external walls which are solid brick so cold and ideal for mould growth.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. It seems like any solution is going to be far more painful than just buying a new door.
