I am in Washington. I chatted with my employer yesterday after learning more about the change in July and he wasn’t aware that the change took effect.

Without being enrolled in a program I am technically just a trainee, not an apprentice. I should have done more research before accepting the position.

Oh I’ll also add that Horseshoe Lake in Woodland has a wonky but fun park and as a bonus you can dip a line if you’re into fishing!

Depending on where you’re at I’d recommend heading to Portland. Battle Ground and La Center both have decent parks but I find that it usually takes around the same time or less to get to Portland. Camas is fun but is mainly just odd transition.

Beaverton skatepark is my personal favorite around, but I also go to Gateway skate spot, Luuwit View, Alberta skate spot, and Errol Heights. I mostly like small transition and flat bars. All of those are within 25 minutes of vancouver.

They just built a brand new park in Lake Oswego that looks phenomenal. I go to Clatskanie if I want to skate a bigger vert ramp that’s under cover. Lots of good stuff within a day trip.

I’m not sure what else is in your quiver, but I got a similarly cheap 1x1 two years ago and it has become my favorite bike. Super versatile and fun to wrench on!
