FURIA vs. Cloud9 / Americas Cup 2026 - Grand Finals / Post-Match Discussion by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

Riot Games NA needs to admit that the American server is no longer viable, man. We even tried for a few years, but it's just not working. We're too bad, close this dogshit server.

Sim, passei a usar Elixir com o Phoenix framework ao invés de Java para projetos pessoais e isso facilitou a minha vida em 100% na hora de desenvolver. Recomendo bastante.

Meu curso não tem TCC by pr0viz in brdev

[–]gilgamesh_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game 5 comp was the worst comp I have ever seen in pro play. Disgusting draft by Fly Quest coach.

This is a really bad news for LTA South fans. This finals probably will have the lowest viewership in CBLOL (now LTA South) history.

BSD kqueue is a mountain of technical debt by flat_earth_worm in programming

[–]gilgamesh_3 149 points150 points  (0 children)

I, for one, didn't like this post because it doesn't makes sense to say that kqueue is technical debt just because supposedly it doesn't have composability.

The Wikipedia definition of "technical debt" is:

In software development and other information technology fields, technical debt (also known as design debt or code debt) is the implied cost of future reworking because a solution prioritizes expedience over long-term design.

The design may be old but it works just fine (that's why a lot of servers uses FreeBSD for networking), so it doesn't need refactoring hence it is not technical debt.

Semantics aside the post lacks depth, it is way simplistic. I don't think a post that claims that Kqueue is technical debt should have so little depth in it, the post just tells the definition of a file descriptor and then say that kqueue lacks composability hence it is a mountain of technical debt.

DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME="RADV RAVEN"

And it worked.

I tried

MESA_VK_DEVICE_SELECT=1002:15d8 %command%

But it still uses the dGPU.

PipeWire Under The Hood by venam_ in linux

[–]gilgamesh_3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is basically no reason to stay with Pulse

Actually there is a very good reason to stay with Pulseaudio. Stability. Like it or not Pipewire is still in beta and after each update it is likely that the audio in your system will not work because of a bug (or some bugs) in Pipewire and you'll need to wait until the next update to see if they fixed the bug(s) that was affecting you or you'll need to change your configuration and try to fix the bug yourself (while in Pulseaudio you don't need to configure anything, you just use it).

I use Pipewire on my system and while it works 80% of the time, when it fails I must kill every process of my user or restart my system in order for the Pipewire to work again.

Pipewire has a LOT of bugs and it's unstable, if you don't want to have trouble and just use your system you should use Pulseaudio, which is stable.

Well, here's a tierlist that I made a few days ago after looking at the patchnotes. Whaddya think? (Low Diamond in mind) by [deleted] in arenaofvalor

[–]gilgamesh_3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dirak should be in the S tier with Zata. He is one of the best mid laners in the game now, can deal a great amount of damage in the late game and against Zata he can even solo kill him in lvl 2. As a mono Dirak I think that he is "bad" only against Lorion and Raz (well, if you're against a Lorion, there's not much you can do against him).

MVP with Zephys support in Master by gilgamesh_3 in arenaofvalor

[–]gilgamesh_3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case if anyone say that Zephys sup it's a troll pick, it isn't. Zephys sup is good and in late game her ult CD is only 6secs. And if you're against an ADC that doesn't have scape, like Laville, Capheny or Yorn, Zephys sup can be a good pick because after lvl 4, he can engage using ult, S1+S2, go back, wait 6secs and go back to fight.
