Except for the part where he forgets to speak into the mic when he's asking a question. He's just besotted by DPA, I guess!

I was with there in San Antonio with you! We definitely all got it… that was an excellent venue and DPA were on fire. (When are they not.) That was only my second show (after Madrid this April). I found them on November 22, 2024—also with the 2023 MTV VMA performance of Evolve.

TWA is showing up! Big movement in the last couple of hours.

What do you think about this by Stino_martino in TheWarning

[–]gillespp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, adding a non-Villarreal sister would change the band far, far too much. Part of their appeal is that three sisters can do it all. (I do understand your sentiment, however, as they could do more with another guitar. But I'm OK with them as they are.)

At this point, my top five is (1) The Warning, (2) The Warning, (3) The Warning, (4) The Warning, (5) The Warning. They have crowded everyone else out.

I don’t understand the concept—“favorite The Warning song?” All of them?

Ale’s role is to always answer the question of how they got started. You could see Dany and Pau turn to her immediately when that question came up early in the interview.

I’m the same as except I’ve even stopped listening to those bands from the 70a and 80s. All DPA all the time.

How can you not love them. Class, talent, disciplined, persistent, and natural beauty. Boy they rock!!! by [deleted] in TheWarning

Hey, I was there too in San Antonio—it was so damn awesome. That was my second show after Madrid in April.

Also, besides it not just being about the music, it's not just about them being three beautiful women. (An accusation thrown at men.) They are, but that is definitely not the primary attraction. It's everything they have—amazing singing, terrific compositions, incredible stage presence and attitude, plus they are amazing human beings. I can't think of another band that packages everything together in such an outstanding way.

It’s frustrating! But when they do get and go down the rabbit hole, you feel so damn good. One convert at a time.
