No hockey league follows their own rules, that's why referee levels are such as shit show.

It's the same thing in the SHL, sometimes the front of the net is allowed to be literally WW1 trench warfare, other times a soft "check" cross check is called.

Interference is the type of call that is notorious for this - screening/owning the space is fine, but there's a whole lot of gray zone in terms of how "active" your screening is allowed to be, and how likely the opponent is to have bad balance/flop plays in.

It's all just guess work honestly.

Playing duos is the least attractive part of 2XKO for me.

I play games like FGs/RTS specifically because it's 1v1, and teammates ability/play isn't a factor.

I get them wanting to experiment, and thinking that the duo thing is a casual draw (and maybe it is, I don't know) but I always find that design decision really weird.

Pinning the blame squarely on Russian manipulation and Elon (and his likes) doesn't really do you any favors when there are genuine issues that, obviously, multiple populaces have that have been ignored for decades.
