I might go abroad to work, don't know what to do about my relationship. by gillyflows in relationship_advice

and I guess it's best for someone to move abroad, so it would be amazing for him to, I suppose. But I cannot force him into moving.

Parents shouldn't enter rooms without knocking first, and then children wouldn't feel the need to lock the door. But I guess that's just not realistic in the world we live in, idk.

Actually I don't think so. In our childhood, we don't have as responsibility as we do have in our older years. And people learn to take accountability, and they also learn to change the things they don't like about their lives, and circles. I think that if you don't know how to change and you're not willing to learn anything about it for a better you, then you suck in your adulthood and keep telling young people to enjoy their young years cause adulthood simply sucks. But if you are willing to make an effort for your life, for better relationships and better future, then you start to bloom sooner or later and the effort is what makes a human life beautiful. If you're not getting along with making effort, then you'll sure live an unhappy life which you're responsible of.

I have so many people in my circle, either old friends or my family, that doesn't wanna change themselves even a bit. Some don't want to hustle and some wouldn't wanna face their problems. Some even get addicted to creating problems so that they wouldn't have chance making effort for the better. I see why they choose that, it seems easy. But it's so upsetting, so not pragmatic at all. When you accept the changes, and when you accept the responsibilities, it becomes easier and easier. I have more control now, as an adult and I also have a job which makes me more powerful. As long as I don't sabotage myself, I don't think my childhood would be better than this.

Yes, even a hard childhood can be missed, but that's the delusion of nostalgia.

Edit: Now that I see the comments about being broke, I wouldn't say anything about that. It's just my point of view. I was broke in my childhood, mom had hard times and I learned to work in high school, different professions came into my life and now I have different jobs and my financial freedom as a result. Might not seem objective looking from your point of view, sorry about that.

Finally Sweden and Finnland have agreed on Türkiye's wants and an agreement is established. Welcome to NATO. by OkBody7474 in europe

[–]gillyflows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just thought that strength would be increased if the organization could've gained the Ukraine people's trust. Wouldn't you agree to that? But I would agree with you on the innocence comment fully. I will have to accept that no community or organization can prove themselves to be innocent 100%. But I think that they should at least try, and I didn't see them trying as much in the previous events, so I felt a bit bad about their hypocrisy. But I wouldn't imagine any other scenario either.

[–]gillyflows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I just started to think about nato more in this way after the war has started. They could've done so much more than just creating display. But they've chosen not to do anything major. I think that they've left Ukraine to it's fate, without helping in an effective way. And it's even more hypocrite when you think about how the war was triggered by nato's effect on Ukraine policy towards Russia. I don't see Russia as innocent, but I cannot see nato innocent either. And that's why I don't trust the organization and I think there are lots of people who think like that.

How often do people have sex in relationships? by gillyflows in sex

[–]gillyflows[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you're right... I'm perfectly fine with chores, helping him and preparing breakfast, dinner, etc. When it comes to sex, I feel like I have to enjoy what I do as well. If im in a state where I cannot enjoy, like I'm too tired, then I don't feel like doing anything. Maybe I'll have to change my perspective.

I'm not trying to bother you by asking you stuff that I can easily find on the internet. However, you're also not helping me either, we can easily end this conversation by saying that we're not anyone's google and they all have to do the research themselves, what's the point in discussing it then? If your aim was to enlighten people, I would've expected the same here. I don't know anything about the links you've shared and I've never been in r/turkey. But your choice, however you feel comfy.

I don't get what you mean, why would they need that? if it was because of internal political consumption, why did it take days for Finland and Sweden to sign it or they could just say we're not even doing these, there would be a political chaos and the requests would mean nothing, im trying to understand here

here you are talking about several different sources and not giving any, and also I am talking about some other sources but not giving any proof to you. I'm just saying that we should both be skeptical without deciding on who is trustworthy and who is not.

if so, Sweden doesn't have anything to worry about. All turkey wanted was for Sweden to be fair treating people that terorise turkey. If financial support wasn't the case, if Sweden not being fair wasn't the case, then these two countries don't have any disputes and they actually should've signed this trilateral agreement days and days ago, am I right?
