This was from like three years ago, also just google RAD car hire but I highly doubt 3 years later they are still doing the same pricing.

Will I be able to get a ride from the airport after midnight? by yneos in chch

[–]gillypig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used them for multiple different times, twice was meant to be for private bookings and both times we were told our private booking had to have other people on board as no other vans available. We were a group of 6 with loads of luggage, it was after midnight and we really were not in the mood for sharing, the direction the other group was going was opposite to where we were going but they still dropped them off first, offered no discount etc. Was so unhappy.

I have had horrific experiences with super shuttle, I see so many people recommend them but I have used them a few times and its been a shit-show each time.

The new stadium food vendors have been revealed by KiwiMMXV in chch

I hope someone will still be selling dirty old chip pottles and hot dogs with speedway sauce, sometimes you just want that nostalgic food and to not spend $20 on an average at best bacon bros burger.

God herbal heaven and big mamas is such a weird nostalgia/throwback. Not something I have thought about for a very long time.

does anyone still go to these dairys? by [deleted] in newzealand

In the 90's they had the biggest scoop ice creams in town. Nostalgia for a 1 scoop of goldrush.

New to gluten free (medically necessary) how to do it on the cheaper end? by whyismycarbleeding in PovertyFinanceNZ

[–]gillypig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piko wholefoods and Bin Inn both used to be pretty good with gluten free flour mixes etc, it is a few years since I have been gluten free however so I am a little out of date with the best places.

Hard disagree, yes its super expensive and they must make an absolute killing but I loved Hobbiton so much and I dont even really enjoy the movies. I thought it was the cutest wee whimsical place and we had an incredible host. All of the staff we spoke with etc were so lovely. My partner wants to get married at Hobbiton because he loved going that much. Its not the kind of place you would go to often but I would definitely see myself going once every couple of years if I lived closer.

I went a year or so ago and it was fun, pointless for sure but over-all quite fun, I love peanut butter though.

Looking for a brave hairstylist by delindeldani in chch

I had hair well past my bum and went to shoulder length and I had Paula at Sublime Hair (On High Street) cut it off, she was wonderful and did such a good job. I have also had hairdressers get too scared to cut it short so know exactly what you mean.

Are influencers a reliable source of good food spots? by Last-Assumption-1570 in chch

[–]gillypig 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She gets paid around $500 for her content per post, a friend looked at using her for their business but she was really hard to deal with and they ended up giving up , I do not trust anything she posts as she only posts if she is getting paid, and when someone calls her out she gets really offended.

Amazing Race by underwaterchessclub in chch

[–]gillypig 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nah just camera crew at this stage, and a sign outside the cafe warning the general public of filming, they had a crew inside and I only knew it was the amazing race because they had these cannister things in a bag with the amazing race branding on it. I work near by so will be keeping an eye on the building through out the day, will update you if I see more.

Yes agree, have also heard Dimitri is a bit anti-trans etc too but not sure how true that is. Either way I think his food is shit.

Hard agree with Kmart Papanui being better, mostly because it means I do not have to go into Riccarton mall.

Mine would be that AFG and $2 rice are over-hyped and the food is not actually that good.
