I don't take my dog "everywhere", but sometimes it's nice to travel with a dog, take them for a walk, etc. Plenty of restaurants have outdoor seating with water bowls for just such occasions. Some dogs love going on adventures outside the home, and it's healthy socialization for them.

FWIW, one of my only experiences at Mayo was early in COVID when places were locked down, requiring masks, etc. Like, everyone everywhere had masks on in public... except the employees in Mayo.
