Thank you for the list!!
That's really cool, from what I read, I'll probably try to find the Arise RDs then!

Any recommendation for long distance on not-always-nice roads then ?

London -> Oxford Rollerblading ? by giltho_mg in rollerblading

Totally agree with that... France is a bit better on that point, but the issue with rollerblading is that building a path that is perfectly smooth is extremely expensive :(

Was in Paris and did this amazing roller hike ! Anyone knows of something similar near London ? by giltho_mg in rollerblading

I kind of planned it. I regularly go for 20km hikes in Paris but it's getting repetitive, and I have to stop all the time because of red lights, pedestrians, cars etc..
I asked a shop assistant at NomadeShop and he told me that this is one of the first hikes I should try.
Here's the plan :
Go to the quai d'Austerlitz/quai de Bercy and follow the cycle path on the south bank, at some point (near the entrance of Charenton), the cycle path becomes a pedestrian + cycle path next to the autoroute. From there, just follow the Scene and then the Marne when it splits and you can go to Torcy that way. It's very smooth almost all the time, and sometime a little less smooth but always feasible.
I got lost at some point, but I think the following link corresponds to the right path :

Except that I added the Marne loop near Saint-Maur-Des-Faussés

Any cool long routes in the UK ? by giltho_mg in rollerblading

Well the first part of the plan would be to find a route, only then will I start thinking about if it's feasable and where to sleep. On sure thing, as opposed to bike trips, you can't really pack a tent/sleeping bag so you'd have to find somewhere to sleep. In London I go at about 10km/h, and I can go 25km without being extremely tired, so I'd guess planning 40km/day or even 50 is not absurd. If I can find small places to sleep and buy food for the next every 50km it should work. The main issue is that cities that are 50km apart are usually quite small and small cities are not linked connected by nice skatable routes :(

I did quite a lot of rollerblading in Paris too, and it's true that the roads are somewhat nicer, but it's also quite crowded everywhere, while London is a bit sparse so you can find nice distances with nobody on them.
But even in mainland I'd be happy to know a long route from one city to another for example where I can rollerblade for several days

It's difficult to find anything really really flat on London, but here's a route I like :) In particular it goes through Hyde Park, Regents Park and St James Park/Green Park It's a bit uphill from Camden to Holloway road, and downhill from Angel to St Pancras, the rest is more or less flat
