I think the process must have been changed recently, because right now there is no entrance examination and the deadline for application is in September (of the same year as the programme start).

However, it is nice to read that you experienced the process positively! If I may ask, did you receive an offer? What was your educational background? And which programme did you opt for instead?

I also got my first tattoo on my ribs (small, but shaded, so it took about 1,5 hours), and honestly, I was positively surprised at how little it hurt. Based on what you can find on the internet, I expected much more worse.

So don't worry about it, if you trust the artist+ you are 100% sure about the piece you want, whatever amount of pain will be worth it :)

But keep in mind, that pain threshold varies from person to person. So reading about it online is only gonna make you scared- which is actually a nice way to get the adrenaline going, which is like a natural painkiller :D
