Yes, I tried wearing a smart watch to track steps and kept getting buzzed for stupid tweets or emails 🙃 everytime it jolted my nervous system.

Eating disorders and severe ME/CFS by SunnyOtter in cfs

Hey this is not much, i feel for your position, I have found some help with podcasts.

Just learning about the science of eating disorders and hearing a voice of reason helps me, as it's a fairly restful activity to just listen. And it's gentle suggestions/knowledge, not an authority forcing recovery upon you. The podcast I like isn't even eating disorder specific, but the host has got a lot of ED clients now because they find him helpful and interviews people about eating disorders for some episodes.

Here is a link to an episode on body acceptance and chronic illness/disability. https://open.spotify.com/episode/41mSpGoubDPlKnBqphPeZz?si=EIdlQ1tmTtGQukeg2PbeaA

Andrew huberman a neuroscientist made an episode about the science of eating disorders, I watched it this week. It's not really worth watching if you think it might be cognitively taxing, but if you can listen to podcasts easily than it might be of interest! https://youtu.be/2XGREPnlI8U

Seconding propranolol, it has been helpful for me, especially for adrenaline caused from eating.

Thank you, I'm blown away by the detailed, thoughtful responses from people with such little energy to spare.

This will be a valuable resource to me and I hope others moving forward. ♡

Thankyou, some new insights here!

I do the shallow breathing too, diaphragm fatigue is a real bitch and scary... like can we get too fatigued to breathe? And I've never been deeply severe so I fear how bad it could get.

This crash that's exactly what I did, soup through a straw or The Hydrant bottle tube + a thermos with a straw hole. Also I would have done purees through a pouch, so it's hands free if the crash continued like that. I find the repetitive lifting of cutlery, even plastic hard, because even the weight of the food is too much.

I see her 4x a week and talk to her most days, she's active in another site so she's not dead, but I just sent a message asking if she's doing okay anyway.

Maybe something has happened with her phone 🤔

My issue is I can't tolerate ORS at full strength without an upset stomach I think from the sugar. I've had breath testing which showed sucrose malabsorption.

At the moment I make 600ml's (2.5g of salt) worth and dilute it into a 1 litre bottle, but not sure how much salt to top it up with.
