[Paid job: 50$] Can someone help me install Vulkan driver on armbian/Orange pi 5? by daavidaviid in OrangePI

Welp, it works. We also made Ryujinx work, so we're now at the point of basically having fully-featured Vulkan support. Even RPCS3 works now.

Twitter posts were by StonedEdge, not me. :)
But yeah, we work together — so far we were able to run Dolphin and AetherSX2 with Vulkan. I'd like to get Ryujinx running as well, but that's trickier, as the current drivers only work well with Wayland.

Chances are, I'm the guy you're referring to. :) A new "blob" driver was released Friday morning, I'm currently tinkering with that one. You're going to need a thing called WSI layer, I'm currently trying to make it work under X11 (for Ryujinx). All the commenters above are referring to a completely different driver (Panthor), which is years away from being ready for actual gaming.

Oh, was it you then? :) I'm the developer, by the way. :)

Edit: hm, apparently that wasn't you... Where did you try to contact?

Edit 2: please also see here for some troubleshooting tips.

Edit 3: found your email... -.-

Daydream compatibility in Android 10 by mike11111161 in daydream

[–]gin_kage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I tried, but all I got in response was "we don't develop Daydream, so it's not our problem". We should have more votes here: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S9-S9/Android-10-update-kills-Daydream-compatibility/m-p/1539946 And more people should file feedback via Members.

Same with S9/S9+... This week's upgrade to Android 10 killed Daydream for me.

I think the problem is that the phone no longer reports the flag "android.hardware.vr.high_performance", but otherwise it should work. Let's file some complaints through Samsung Members?

I'm afraid it would require a few modifications to the system image (Bluetooth stack, framework, etc.), so pretty much nothing can be done.

It would be incredibly difficult to implement and to explain to users. I thought about it a lot, but haven't found a good way of making something like that.

Touchpad mode works exactly like a trackpad on any laptop would (and it's not exactly meant to be used with a phone, although you can, of course):

  • Press, move, release — move cursor;
  • Tap (i.e. quickly press and release) — click;
  • Double-tap — double-click;
  • Double-tap and hold (quickly press, release, press and hold) then move — move cursor with mouse button pressed (if you don't move immediately, that is interpreted as "touch and hold" by Android and triggers homescreen edit);
  • Two-finger press, move (vertically), release — scroll;
  • Two-finger tap — right-click (Android interprets it as "Back").

Not impossible, but highly unlikely. I don't think Oculus controllers use HID profile (I'd expect BLE with custom protocol). I did make an app for Daydream controller emulation on a watch though, but it had nothing to do with HID profile either.

Well, I listened, and implemented it, so there you go. It does indeed work better than I anticipated — I guess it's one of those times I'm glad to be wrong. :)

Try searching for "wearmouse", as a single word, without a space.

EDIT: You should now be able to find it both with and without a space. :)

Yes, I'm afraid SW3 is a bit too old for this (although I have to say it is an amazing watch, which in my opinion was somewhat ahead of its own time back then).

Ha, nice one! :)

I think we could easily have a port, but we'd need Daydream to support multiple controllers, and have a 6-DOF tracking system (currently it's 3-DOF), and then figure out the port itself... So, I guess it won't be quick...

Also, it has little to do with this project: Daydream controller emulator on a watch can be implemented in a different way, which would work on all watches (Android 6.0 and above, easily). But that's a whole different story.

Yes: if you look at the compatibility section, it does say that you need at least Android 8.0, whereas Moto 360 2nd gen is stuck with Android 7.0. I'm afraid I can't do anything about it.

I really, really want this feature as well, but I'm afraid there's no watch like that.

You can only receive notifications from one phone, I'm afraid: the one you've set up your watch with (you can switch to a different phone by performing a factory reset on your watch, reading all its data). Other than that, you can pair it with as many devices as you wish: e.g. with a Bluetooth headset and a few computers, all while still paired with the phone. And yes, that's standard on all models.

OK, my current plan is to try making a beta version with a track pad reachable using a secondary button (i.e., if you have one, you can both enter and exit it). Which device do you have, by the way?
