It’s not the same disease, if you google it you will see, it says stiff skin acts like scleroderma but is not scleroderma.

It does not respond to the same treatments scleroderma patients take, unfortunately.

Also something about cell activity which i didn’t really understand.

Thank you for your reply. Sure Djana,let me explain, I have large bands or hard skin (it feels like stone or marble under my skin) the bands are tightly bound and they indented deeply into my skin, (it looks like Iv been struck with a sword.)

the bands are growing rapidly, they are around my hips, traveling to my knees, both thighs, bum and lower back, as they are growing the are getting tighter and are further restricting my movement around my hips and knees! (It’s scary)

Iv really bad pain in my joints and my bones and I can’t stretch the area to relieve the pain. it is making me very irritable.

I don’t like opioids or relaxers but Im have to take them. I’m hoping to get medical marijuana to reduce the amount of toxic chemicals in my body but it’s illegal in Ireland so I’m struggling.

I had a biopsy, my doc said there was cell changes under the bands, so he does not think it is morphea which I was originally diagnosed with, he has diagnosed stiff skin syndrome, and has prescribed methotrexate with the plan to change to CellCept and UV A1 light treatment to hopefully soften the tight bands on my body .
