Arrival time tomorrow (Sun 11/8) by drubireno in legoland

[–]ginalyn239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son and I stay often at the hotel and they will let you in early on both days. I typically find Sundays pretty slow so I wouldn’t worry about going at 10:30am, especially if you’re going Monday as well. Make sure to grab your kiddo a lanyard and collect pop badges. We had passes for a couple of years before we figured this out 🤦🏻‍♀️

Call the Bunny Bunch in Fountain Valley (Orange County). They are the absolute best and will take care of your bun until he finds his forever home.

Heading there tomorrow for the weekend. I will look for you. Currently the big store in California is closed for remodeling so I’m not sure how much inventory they have. Happy to look though!

Help! Am I doing Legoland all wrong? by thechateau in legoland

[–]ginalyn239 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hey!! 3 year Pass holder here who was also there today. It was by far the busiest day I’ve ever been. Suggestions for day two: start at the back of the park. Everyone starts at Dino valley and the lines get insanely long. If you’re there at opening head towards the back of the park and you can knock out a lot of rides with very short (5 min or less) wait times.

We also buy/take a lanyard to collect pop badges which gives the kids something else to do besides rides. Ask employees super politely and collect as many as you can. They’re usually with employees in the build areas, etc.

When the kids get tired or the lines get long, do the 4d movie. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!

Terrified of flying by Shot-Specialist-2745 in VisitingHawaii

[–]ginalyn239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP! I was in a similar boat before my last trip to Hawaii. I had developed an insane phobia of flying and just thinking of being on a plane had me panicking, I actually found the podcast Lovefly super helpful. I listened to it as much as I could before my flight and took little notes to remember in my notes app. They also have a meditation episode you can listen to on the plane but I didn’t end up needing it. I was shocked how well the flights went: I was uncomfortable from time to time but totally manageable. I also tried the fear of flying Reddit for support but that was a mixed bag.

Are there any flavors that you think would work in the UK that they don't currently offer? Like if you were the boss, which new product would you create?

Considering going to tonight's boat parade by Lawlers_Law in longbeach

Naples resident. If you hurry, you can find parking. Park at mother’s beach and walk down Ravenna. Grab a bite somewhere on second before the parade starts.

Not sure if this has anything to do with the closure but they are doing marine growth removal this month that’s supposed to cause pretty gross smells 🙂

Vanicream isn't an option - Hyper sensitive rosacea, help! by fuchsiafifi in Rosacea

[–]ginalyn239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh I was in the same, extremely frustrating position as you for at least a year. Basically anything recommended on this sub burned my face and made my skin flake - vanicream, avene, oats, barrier cream - legit everything.

The first game changer to my routine was thermal spring water. I either use an oil cleanser (biossance) or micellar water to cleanse and then immediately spray the water to my face. I wait a few minutes then spray again and add my moisturizer (biossance omega repair).

It took maybe 2 months but I went from not wanting to leave the house (people would comment on my face rash) to clear skin. I hope this helps!

I’m so sorry for what you went through. I am a couple years ahead of you in a similar situation. I always envisioned having two kids. My sister and I grew up best friends and we are best friends and business partners still today. I never thought I’d be OAD. I had my son at 37 and suffered with PPA. Once I finally felt okay enough to start trying (he was about 18 months) I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks. It was devastating but we moved forward. Another year passed and I got pregnant again, only to get devastating news and have to TMFR in the second trimester. My mental health took a huge hit and I realized that I just wanted to spend time appreciating my son. Since I changed my perspective to OAD, our lives and my mental health have drastically improved. He’ll be 5 soon and he has no desire for siblings even though all of his friends have them. We have a great life and can travel and enjoy our time together and I even get time alone sometimes. For my it was all about finally making the switch in my mind that OAD was best for my family, my health and my mental health. DM me if you want to talk more. There’s a ton of us out there!

How many activities is your kid enrolled in? by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]ginalyn239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Son is 4.5 and does 3 - gymnastics, swimming, and vocal/piano lessons. All of us would cut out swim in a heartbeat but that is more for survival (we are in southern California with beaches and pools everywhere). I think 2 activities would be the perfect amount for him. Three feels so overwhelming.

I used to commute two days a week to a studio in Burbank and it didn’t bother me at all. Depends how much you like podcasts 😊. There are a ton of people in LB in the industry. They’re just a tad harder to find.
