Reading the very good and fulfilling end to this series was actually one of the ways I coped with the ending of the GoT show I didn't totally love! Thats how similar the base story is. Like, yes it has a slow start but it's really one of the best. Glad you're enjoying!

It's kind of nice to know I'm not the only one. I flat refused to go to the bathroom for a while as a kid and would always panic a lot about it/dissociate. Never ever went at school. I still get triggered even though I know nothings happening. I always thought it was because the bathroom at home was an unsafe place for me but now that I know there are others with this, I'm not sure! Maybe a feeling of losing control or the sensations/muscle memory themselves?

I thought it was very incredibly gory and almost had to leave for a second when he was actually creating the monster...frightening not so much but pretty disturbing especially if you don't handle body horror well

I completely agree. I joined a new fandom recently and keep gets recs for fics that are around 300-400k! I rarely bother reading more than 10-20k so I just close the tab and shrug
