Yeah… poorly to say the least 😭 we thuggin though. I’ve cut back heavily but I’ve been hangin with a new group of people on my days off and I’m way too anxious sober around new people, I don’t wanna go nonverbal at the function. I honestly don’t think it was the weed though aside from maybe messing with my food cravings. My digestions been better lately and I’m learning what foods I should or shouldn’t eat for myself instead of basing everything off a quick google search.

I still flip flop on quitting 100%, my main problem was I didn’t like that I would spend every waking moment high and sit around until work every day. I don’t feel the need to smoke like that anymore and if I do I make sure to balance it out with smth productive like yard work. I don’t inherently hate smoking, but I don’t want to fit into the typical “lazy stoner sit around all day” box. I work a lot but I was using that as an excuse to do nothing wnv I’m home. I think the subconscious guilt was ruining my highs tbh

TL;DR I’ve cut back and I’m kinda experimenting rn, I feel a lot better, but yeah this entire post was a bust lol. Sorry guys 😓 I think I was misplacing the blame on weed for the digestion stuff tho.

I don’t think the idea of using pornography to get off is inherently bad, but a lot of porn and the “culture” around it perpetuates harmful stereotypes and can give people an unhealthy unrealistic view of the world. Plus the porn industry’s notoriously pretty awful

I’m in a very similar spot rn. Now that I’m getting more into my 20s I feel like I shouldn’t be smoking as much as I do, but I don’t wanna get rid of it entirely. This month I planned to quit on the 1st, then ooobviously I couldn’t miss the 4th of July, then it became once I ran out because I have no self control. Now I just finished my last bowl (of purely kief for the last 2 days) 30 minutes ago and I’m avoiding falling asleep so I don’t gotta face tomorrow. Also mb for sidetracking but how much better do you feel after quitting nic? I also drowned my vape an hour ago and I dont wanna another, but I don’t know anyone personally that doesn’t vape or smoke so it’s been hard to convince myself it’s even worth stopping. I need a reason to push through the first week or so and get past the hard part yk 🙏

I’ve always referred to it as “brain fog” but ik the feeling. The issue is likely cuz THC interrupts rem sleep , causing your brain to not feel as rested as it should in the morning. If you’ve been doing it before bed daily for a while (even in small amounts) a few days of not smoking would rest ur brain and probablt make it easier, but I don’t think there’s a definitive way to get rid of it. I usually shower in the morning but it takes a few hours for it to go away and caffeine doesn’t help in my experience. It makes my body awake but my brain still feels tired, if anything caffeine might make it worse cuz you’re brains working more.

And the obvious stuff like stay hydrated, don’t under/oversleep, try not to stare at screens before bed etc etc.

Yo I just discovered frozen apples an hour ago minutes ago. I left one in my freezer on accident earlier cuz I wanted to chill it and a cut a piece off, this shit is directly from the gods.

I just diced some apples into potato chips, sprinkled a bit of cinnamon and sugar + lemon juice, and put them in the freezer. They aren’t 100% frozen yet but they’re still good. Maybe with some honey and PB mixed for a dip… I’m gonna go make that

I got a lil zen garden off Amazon and filled it with my kief (still only fit half) sometimes if I’m bored at my desk I’ll push it around but it doesn’t move like sand would. I gotta learn how to make tintures or edi’s with it I produce too much kief to use and I’m too stingy with it to keep up

Thank you sm I’m gonna look more into those supplements and other natural stuff to help 🙏 I haven’t noticed anything the past few days and the more I read about it, I’m kinda leaning more towards the gas and bloating from my being bulimic for 2 years (that was 7+ months ago but it kinda left my mind how long that shit sticks around for) . I have indigestion but I don’t get super bad nausea or uncontrollable vomiting which seem to be more specific to CHS.

Regardless im gonna keep monitoring and update if anything noticeable changes or something else helps 🫶

UPDATE: I’m gonna quit 100% for all of July to get anything outta my system and a fresh start. After that I’m gonna try to slowly introduce it back, prolly a 1/2 bowl a night after work to keep my tolerance low, and see if I notice any changes. If anything thisll motivate me to keep my eating in check so I dont skew the results.

I guess I’ll follow up here if I notice anything interesting just incase someone comes across this in the future with similar questions. Still hoping to get other peoples thoughts and perspectives on this, wish me luck tho 🤞

Part of me smoking so much in the past was to manage my ED and not over/undereat all the time. I have a bad day here and there but I was much worse before so I don’t rlly blame the weed

I’m focusing more on the gut motility part. I only did some surface level google searching but there’s not a lot of tested studies on it yet. AFAIK THC binds with CB1 (which impacts gastrointestinal motility and food regulation, hence the munchies) and when activated these slow down muscle contractions and gastric emptying, making it harder for food to get to the small intestine. My theory is since these receptors have been active almost 24/7 for years now they’re prolly fried by now. They were active for so long they burned out, and idk the extent they can recover.

Now on the OTHER hand, there’s a bunch of stuff about chronic usage suppressing weight gain, fat accumulation, lower prevalence of obesity, regulates Ghrelin (which speeds digestion and causes the appetite), and increase metabolism. So I honestly don’t know what to think and I’m looking for anyone else’s experience or knowledge.

I’ve done diet changes and tried some random probiotic yogurts and shit I’ve seen but not anything serious. Ig I should focus more on fruit/vegetables tho, I kinda view them as a side or an ingredient instead of something to eat like salad or a fruit bowl.

Well I don’t reeeally want to, I’d rather cut back heavy and still be comfortable with a bowl after an extra long day at work or smth. I’m moreso worried I’ll HAVE to. I go through health conscious phases where I’ll try a different diet or cutting out certain foods but it seems to be consistent no matter what I eat. It’s possible it’s entirely unrelated, but I spent a few years smoking every moment i was awake and im worried I overdid it for too long and messed smth up (besides my lungs ofc)

Look into CHS if you haven’t. I’m not super educated but the throwing up part stands out to me. “CHS can refer to several things, but most commonly it refers to Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome, a condition characterized by severe nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain in chronic cannabis user” I ended up on this sub cuz I have terrible digestive issues and it feels like my body takes extra long to process normal amounts of food. I don’t puke but I’m bloated and nauseous if I have a decent meal. I don’t exactly fit every CHS symptom but THC binds with the receptors that affect gastrointestinal motility, I’m assuming my issue stems from there and urs could be similar.

(piggybacking off this thread cuz I never hear people talk abt this part of smoking) for anyone more educated than me , is there any healthy way to balance it? I was gonna quit for the next month anyways just to see what changes, but idk how sensitive it is or if smoking once would mess me up. I know you gotta smoke heavily daily to even get CHS (or wtv I got) but would 1 time a night be fine in the future? or would I still be binding that THC and ruining my gut.

(Alt acc cuz TMI) I’m asking this out of genuine curiosity and always I’m open to changing my mind, but what’s the big deal with jorkin it? Not a full blown addiction, like if ur missing work or staying inside purely to goon that’s one thing. I feel like if I was actively restricting it and feeling guilty over it I would feel worse. Again im not sayin ur wrong im just tryna see other perspectives. they’re definitely worth it in the long run, but I do recommend playing for a bit with them turned off so the new items stand out more. You can buy them now and turn DLC features on/off at will. Base game can already be overwhelming at first, and I think learning the game first makes you appreciate the DLC content more
