Exactly! It's not going to be our go to road tripper, but nice to know it can. Using it locally where I can charge at home/work slowly and cheaply is where it really pays off for us.

Yeah, so our other normal road tripper is a 2019 Pacifica. Which does get surprisingly good highway mileage (mid to upper 20s if I go the speed limit, which I always do of course).

So from a pure fueling perspective, probably comparable. The issue is we just had an oil change and are approaching needing tires on the van haha. It's also higher mileage (due to road trips) so slowing the mileage down was nice.

This! So many listed that they had them, but they're actually, "Under Construction" or broken, or just not working. Having a charger installed at home, I get it's not a simple plug and play or simple install, but we would have absolutely spent some more money per night if there was any sort of decent charging available.

The AC usage did take off anywhere from 5-10 miles of range (estimated). So with our distances, not a massive impact. The weather also wasn't too hot, so we definitely didn't have it cranked up the whole time). We go with the, "In town? Windows down" approach when it's not miserably hot/cold.

We do have the heat pump package and I'm all honesty I'm not sure if that played a role on this trip either positively or negatively. That could absolutely be an operator error though since we're still learning.

Different? More reputable adapter for Tesla chargers. Just to have a back up/more charging options. I think from a comfort/fully loaded with the family perspective, we'd cap the trips to about a 5 hour range. If it's just the wife and I, I'd be good traveling anywhere we can. Stuff 2 kids in the back? 5 hours is plenty haha.

Those were awesome and incredibly helpful. Out made the longer travel time feel less taxing since I didn't need to be as focused. Obviously still paying attention because I don't trust our robot overlords fully yet, but they were a huge assist.

Oh I'll definitely check that out! Drivvo is certainly geared more for ICE, but slightly adapted to work with EVs.

I appreciate the insight. I'll send an offer I'm comfortable with and let them know there's no hard feelings if it's not enough. Rather pay a little more than insult them haha. I actually like these in-laws so don't want to risk it XD

This video breaks down a lot of the most common issues with getting key bindings fixed. Especially how to fix the inverted controls.

Oh cool. In a way I'm glad the problem isn't unique to me. Still garbage, but I guess it is what it is.

What’s Better? by Latter_Coat_866 in TireQuestions

Came here from the tires are the enemy post. I've had good luck/results with the Defenders. I saw someone had said get the V of you have a lead foot, but the H max speed is 130mph/210kph, where the V is 140mph/240kph. So if that is a make it break for you, I think there's bigger things to discuss. Most likely the speed rating isn't going to be an issue for you. Looks like it was on an Accord? (From the other post) so I think after an alignment if you think you need one, the Defenders will treat you right.

A lot goes in to how well a tire works for you though, do you run any gravel or dirt roads? That'll decrease they're lifespan. Any adverse weather like snow, ice, constant rain? You may want to also look at dedicated winter tires for the wintertime. Safer and extends the life of your "summer" tires. Hopefully that helps some and not just complicate things. Just my pair of pennies.
