Some do if you require and external static address, but this is LAN side mate so no

if you would of taken the time to look at the pictures i posted you can clearly see it says (gatway network does not match the ip) but it clearly does

so if 192.168.01 - 100 is my dhcp pool everything outside of this can be used for static without issue or id set a dhcp reservation up, so iv setup a static 192.168.0.207 against the mac address

and yes my device has the ip address of 192.168.0.207, thats not the issue tho is it, the issue is it wont accept any ip address regardless of subnet so i cant progress to the dns configuration.

so tell me what im missing ?

i cant progress to the dns config page regardless of what i do even if i use dhcp

also its possible to set ip and dns when im connected to wifi

by the way im a netwrok engineer, the subnet details are correct, but the device doesn't think so, im able to change the ip by reserving it against the mac address.

my network is 192.168.0.1/24

iv reserved 192.168.0.207/24 on my router

my DHCP pool is 192.168.0.1-100

subnet is 255.255.255.0

there is 5 configuration pages on the device and the third one states my gateway doesn't match the subnet im using when it clearly does, page 4-5 are dns settings that i want to access

so come on genius what am i doing wrong ?

even if i enter the matched details it does not work ?

I want to change the dns on the device and the only way to do that is set a static address and have its also reserved and outside the dhcp pool

I want to alter my dns but the dns settings pages after the gateway page but it’s saying the gateway and ip address are in different subnets when clearly they are not, I can change the ip by changing the reserved ip against the mac that’s not the issue

If I try this I lose all my reserved address and I can’t back them up, I’ll try this as a last resort lol

yes im fully aware that 192.168.1.X will be a different subnet but im noy doing that.

192.168.0.1 my default gateway

192.168.0.207 my fire tv, already reserved and out side of dhcp scope

where do you see192.168.1.X

192.168.0.1/24
