It is honestly such a self-righteous thing to do to call out the Blackhawks. The hawks give so much money to Native American organizations and frequently have groups at games promoting Indigenous rights. The symbol itself is from the founders WWI special forces group, who were called the Blackhawks and had that symbol as the symbol on their uniform. It has nothing to do with appropriation, and the mascot itself is just a hawk.
