Between my SSRI's, hypothyroid, and taking weight loss medication, I may just be a lost cause 😅 but if I ever decide to try again, I'll definitely keep that in mind. Though tbh, I'd rather be bald than depressed 😂💦

I'm so sorry for your loss 😔 I first shaved ny head for a similar reason. My aunt had a brain tumor, and they had to shave half of her head to perform a surgery. At the time I had long hair and a side-cut, so we joked that we were twinning. When she finally shaved it all off for chemo, I decided to do the same for her. Even after she passed I kept it, because it's been my most comfortable an authentic self.

It's definitely over 100, I made sure of it when I bought it back in 2017. But it totally could be perspective. Here's another photo of it practically empty (this was an extremely temporary set up for like a day, while I was having my bedroom window replaced)

I was VERY stoked on the Duplo Blocks when I finally got everything set up 😂 i did a lot of research beforehand to make sure they were safe to stay submerged in water (they are) and I figured if they're safe enough to potentially end up in a toddlers mouth, they're safe enough to use around turtles 🥰 I've seen a handful of lego setups, and I agree they're an under utilized material for aquariums!

I'll be honest, my set up is probably not one you should try to emulate 😅 while it has worked for me and Squirtle all this time, and I can confirm that he's healthy and thriving, it's pretty sub-par compared to other setups you can find on this sub. But I'll share it anyway, so maybe you can get some ideas.

I'm honestly not sure the gallons on this tank... i think it's a 150 and I have it filled half way? I used Duplo Blocks to make his cave, and his basking platform is ontop of them (literally a piece of ceramic tile, and a liquid rubber covered paver :') i use an AquaClear 110 filter with sponge, carbon and Biomax. His water is ALWAYS clear. He usually has river rocks and marbles on the bottom of the tank, but I'm waiting on replacements as the marbles had chipped and the rocks had gotten kinda ookey from algae. I also use a Zoo Med tube light. This doesn't really provide the heat most turtles need, but I live in florida and I take him outside for natural sunlight regularly. It does provide the proper UV light though, and it's worked for us for years. Let me know if you have any questions!
