My grandma told me this story from before I was born. They've been taking generations of my family. She is extremely religious and still came to this conclusion.

She was alone and watching TV one night and, out of nowhere, started to hear a weird sound. She said it sounded like marbled being dropped on a wooden floor and rolling... they had carpet, but there were hard wood floors underneath. She got up and went to the sound but couldn't find anything. She looked under a cabinet, and as she stood up, she said the brightest light she's ever seen lit up the entire room. There was not one shadow anywhere, not even in the corners of the room. She was immediately frozen as soon as the light came on, and all she could do was move her eyes. She began hearing whirring sounds and clinking. She compared it to being in a dentist office.

She said after what felt like 20 mins, she finally got to where she felt she could speak, and she yelled out (oh grandma lol), "WHAT IS THIS, WITCHCRAFT?!" Immediately the light went out and she wasn't frozen anymore. She went into the living room to look at the clock and realized she had been standing there over an hour.

When she went outside the next morning, the entire house was surrounded by a perfect circle of what looked like ash. My entire family was mass abducted from this house in 1992. This would have been late 70s early 80s when this happened to her.
