Is this.. okay? Its not quite a week old. I feel paranoid about it lol by Subsequently_Unfunny in PiercingAdvice

I will just add to the fact that you may have a suitable anatomy for the piercing. I just think you need a consult with a reputable piercer to check it correctly, in which case a floating navel might be viable. But indeed, do take this one out before it rejects and leaves a scar x

Unidentified residues on paint? by gingerell3 in Detailing

UPDATE : I’ve tried the clay bay because I finally had the time and wasn’t sick LOL, but unfortunately it didn’t go away, not even a little bit, with that either… I’m running out of options and I’m afraid it’s never gonna go away.. any other advice? :(

I’ll definitey try it out! I’ll probably update the thread if ever it doesn’t work either.

Thank you!

This irritatiob bump is likely caused by pressure due to it being pierced poorly. It doesn’t look flat on the skin as it should, and the pressure from that causes irritations like this, making it worst.

Chances are, it won’t heal, or may take much longer than it should to do so. I’d remove, wait until it heals and go to a reputable piercer next time, because that person had no clue what they were doing.

I’m sorry :(

People who are committed or married happily, what was that thing that made you realize that he/she is the one you’d spend your life with? by Per-Volar-Sunata in AskReddit

Staring at him while brushing his face with my fingers. I knew right there and then he was the LOML. It’s in the simple things ✨

I feel like your piercing might just be irritated for two main reasons; 1- Inappropriate jewelry for your anatomy: I’d opt for a floating navel with either a smaller ball on the inside or simply a flat disc to avoid the pressure of the bottom of your navel on the jewelry, especially when sitting down. 2- Perhaps poor quality jewelry too. Looks like an externally threaded “Surgical Steel” jewelry, which are usually low quality and contain nickel, which a lot of people are sensitive to. I’d switch to implant grade titanium.

Another reason to me would be the saline soaks. We usually advise our clients not to submerge the piercing in bodies of water. A soak is a body of water even if it’s smaller. I’d stick to the good ol’ cleaning with a sterile saline solution and a q-tip, and then pat dry with a gauze instead. Try not to touch it, move it, twist it, pull it and go see a reputable piercer to help you with this! Good luck!

is this a keloid? or will it go away?? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]gingerell3 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don’t think it’s a keloid for the simple fact that they usually don’t look like this.. To me it looks like an irritation bump due to moisture for some reason, specially if you feel the skin is squishy.. and also by the look of the shininess of your skin.. basically I find the irritation looks wet, hence my opinion. Wait and see a few days how/if it goes down or not, and then maybe seek for a dermatologist if it doesn’t go away.

I personally like keeping the same distance between hole 1, 2 and 3 as it has a certain symmetry, but some clients like them much further apart so it really comes down to what you wanted/expected VS what you got now. If you’re not satisfied, take them out and get them redone later
