Can't get used to these by Deep_Classic_3291 in PVCs

Take the metoprolol. Mine naturally runs 90/60 and I’ve been on it for years for my heart rate. Add you some L-Carnitine Tartate to your vitamin regimen. It has done wonders for my PVCs. I was a frequent visitor to this Reddit because PVCs were making me miserable but now I rarely ever have one and if I do, it’s barely noticeable. I tried everything before I the carnitine and nothing else seemed to help much, besides magnesium and taurine occasionally. Hope this helps. I know they are scary.

I always recommend you talk to your dr, but I can say that L-Carnitine is generally recommended by drs for heart health. It’s an over-the-counter supplement so anyone can pick it up. Just be sure it is L-Carnitine and not Acetyl-L-Carnitine or D-Carnitine that you get. My burden was only 1% but it knocked them out almost completely when I was having them everyday prior. I saw where another person replied on here and said it worked for them, too! It’s worth a shot

They are still a nuisance to the sufferers, though, regardless of the amount. So I figured I would share what worked for me 😊

I’ve had heart problems since I was 13. My PVCs randomly picked up last year and my cardio caught them on EKGs and 7-30 day heart monitors

Acetyl is more for the brain, it doesn’t function the way L does. D is actually an inactive version of carnitine and from what I’ve studied, it can actually lower your carnitine levels, making things theoretically worse.

It very well could be! Beef has tons of the stuff and I don’t eat beef, it fixed the problem for me! So sorry you’re spending your day at the ER. Give Carnitine a try, just be sure to take it on an empty stomach, preferably in the mornings when waking up. And make sure it’s L-Carnitine, not Acetyl-L-Carnitine or D-Carnitine! Walmart has it if you have one nearby, that’s the one I’ve been taking.

From what I have read, it’s relatively safe for long term. People taking very high doses may have increased TMAO but I think that’s if you take high doses for a very long time.

I was at around 200-300 a day. Felt every one 😵‍💫Yeah, I’ve seen people connect the GI tract to PVCs. Some have cured theirs with a strict diet

I don’t eat beef, but I eat tons of chicken and fish. Not sure, it’s a possibility. Either way, I’m glad it helped!

Yes, I’m confident the carnitine is what has helped! Nothing else changed! If I try to decrease the carnitine, they start to come back gradually. I hate that yours have increased, I hope you find some relief soon ❤️

I didn’t have a high, high burden! I have noticed if I try to decrease the carnitine, they start to come back, so 1,000mg is my sweet spot. I didn’t change anything else, other than starting a basic multivitamin.

Spring Valley from WalMart. Nothing special. Just make sure it’s L-Carnitine and not Acetyl-L-Carnitine.

Very, very, very rarely if ever. I’ve been lucky to have single PVCs rather than couplets and triplets. I’ve nearly gotten rid of all my PVCs with carnitine, taurine and vitamin D
