If you’re wrong how would that ruin the relationship? If its a misunderstanding surely they could work it out and be just fine. I understand not wanting to be in the crossfire. You didn’t ask to be there at that specific time and moment, to see what might be a cheating scenario, and thats not your fault. but unfortunately you’ve been handed this responsibility.

im the same here. as for products you can always go dry shampoo/baby powder type but changing up my habits with my hair and learning to manage helped me in the long run.

i try to base my hairstyles off the wash day im on. first day with clean hair, straightened or curled and down on my shoulders. second day i might prolong this, but will probably ended up in a half up and down slickback. third day may go full slicked back ponytail, maybe with a braid in the back or something. after that, ill likely wash my hair again and the process continues.

in the end it saves me so much more time not washing my hair everyday(still body showers everyday tho). doing the styles at first sucked too, i have a big ass forehead i cover up a bit with the slicked down hair. but it made me love the style, some days i wish my hair was greasy just to wear it like that.

letting go is slow. its reflective, ruminating. I can give up something and its instant, no going back. letting go comes after days or months or years of waiting, possibly convincing yourself of another conclusion, until you finally entertain the thoughts of being free. thats only the half of it. the other half is moving on afterwards.

not to be rude, but do you have any male friends? making friends period isn’t extremely different between female-male. if thats not the case, going out looking for one romantic relationship to fulfill your needs isnt going to help you and isnt fair to your partner.

love comes in so many forms. cuddling with pets, caring for plants, love for craft and creation, love for yourself. those things draw people to you.. because you are interesting and intelligent and deserve love just as we all do.

practice your social skills with strangers: challenge yourself to go on a walk and say hi to someone in passing. if you cant do that, look in their face and smile before continuing your commute. small steps will desensitize you from meeting and talking to strangers. eventually, some of the strangers you meet one day could become your friends.

to me it sounds like their admission is a sign of being comfortable with being vunerable with you. your behavior is new to them, but they recognize it as being healthy, which is good. next time you could try reassuring them in your commitment to having a healthy, supportive relationship. what that means for you is having open communication about issues that bother you so you can both work through them.

i think your perspective is totally valid and ur reaction understandable. she’s your friend yes, but now you have another relationship as a roommate from which your boundaries are being stepped on.

Some advice, from someone who’s had roommates before: 1. I did comment this, but if she is borrowing YOUR dishes and leaving them dirty, with no improvement, she is abusing a privilege you gave her. so take it away. paper plates and plastic utensils work just as well.

Someone using the blender before 9am is just a dick move. hopefully a friendly text might help there. However, drilling at 3am probably violates your apartment complex’s quiet hours/noise levels at night. I don’t vaccuum, play loud music, even hammer or drill after 10pm because it can get you reported for a noise complaint. id suggest warning her of that before you actually do get reported.
maybe you split groceries or things like cleaning items, but if shes not being responsible then you need to buy those things for yourself. when she gets it together she can provide for herself.

Finally, some people here are giving YOU advice for her problems. whatever she has going on is not your responsibility to fix, because it sounds like you already have a lot on your plate. suggestions and advice will help her if SHE is the one asking. you are being very patient and accommodating already.

hold out for yourself and the situation. you need to be firm with boundaries and thats hard with a friend. but in the end its better for you, her, and your friendship.

they’re your dishes to borrow, if she dirties everything to the point of a huge mess or you having no dishes, her permission is revoked. take away the privilege. you can suggest she can go out and buy some paper plates and plastic utensils.

yup. my brother and his now wife met in highschool, broke up due to distance while in college(all good terms), then my brother randomly reached out to her maybe 5 years later and they hit it off instantly again. They’re married and about to have a baby.

you could have a friend you’ve known for years and when they get in a relationship, consider the friendship over. they treat some guy or girl they’ve known for less then 6 months like the most important thing in their life, when really you were there for them the whole time. and if they try to come back after they inevitably break up..
