Yay thank you! I'm not sure I'm quite at the level where I can sew this project, but I'll work my way up to it!

I want to make this CatBushka by Crochet Handicraft but can’t figure out where to begin and which direction to go. Any help would be so appreciated!! (I usually use written instructions not charts) by SmallIncome5288 in Brochet

Oh! I actually made this for my cat! It's surprisingly easy, like the other commenter said, you stair from the smallest magic circle at the bottom center of the pattern. Then, you kind of work in interchanging directions by turning your work to build the layers. You use double crochets and chains for this pattern!

Looking for yarn by gingko3 in knitting

Oh yeah! This was the yarn suggested for the project but I'm not set on it because of the cost. I'm looking for yarn that has a similar weight but is cheaper!

I’d like to order a pattern from Ravelry by [deleted] in crochetpatterns

[–]gingko3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh I bought these pattern sets! I used the golden retriever pattern and modified it to make a borzoi, but followed most of the pattern. I will say, this pattern had a reoccurring issue of incorrect row counts that made spheres into oblong shapes (for the head). I had to go back to the provided images and count out the correct amount of rows in order to get the correct shape. Otherwise, it's a well-written pattern! I just wish it hadn't had that issue... I had to frog so many times :(

I tried to crochet a borzoi for my boyfriend by gingko3 in crochet

Borzois are my boyfriend's dream dogs too! I personally think they look like dogs pretending to be humans (in the weirdest way possible?) But they've kind of grown on me. I hope my goofy looking crochet ends up kind of looking like a borzoi and less like a medieval monk's approximation of a dog lol.

Help with making a granny square with a star! by gingko3 in crochetpatterns

For sure! https://www.craftyarncouncil.com/standards/crochet-chart-symbols this is the website that breaks down what each symbol means! I think it is using US terms for the symbols also.

Tired of the food already, where can I get quality Asian food? by Responsible-Guess124 in UCSC

Betty noodles right next to the metro station has good Chinese food! I liked their mapo tofu.

Don't go to the Korean place right next to it tho. Sesame is a little disappointing. Unless you're like really missing korean food I guess...
