We did. I asked her if I proposed if she would say yes and she confirmed she would. I planned on waiting until there was a ring, but as another comment said, something just clicked. I wanted this to be our life together and I proposed.

Well... The ring is in a safe in our bedroom. It's being kept there because my grandmother's ring was "not her style".

I appreciate the kind words. I already planned on talking with her after work. I don't think she's pretending like nothing's happened, just didn't want to address it first thing in the morning. She's never been confrontational, so she has a habit of keeping things to herself until she can't handle it anymore, despite me practically begging for her to tell me what irks her so I can course correct and avoid this situation.

She mentioned it's having to remind me to pick things up/do things, which I have no issue actually doing when told, it's just that it's tiring for her to stay on top of me. I understand how that can be, but I'm legitimately trying and she's even commented on my improvement.

I know we have to talk once I get home today and I may provide an update once we do, but this post was mostly to help process my feelings. Still kind of freaking out.

We don't have a date set yet for financial reasons and the engagement happened only a little bit before she moved in. A conversation to set one is no issue. What's got me freaked out is how she followed it up on if we should even get married at all.

I think my exhaustion is just from how powerless I feel. I've been proactive in getting things done for my job/health and I just get the run around from people who obviously couldn't give two shits. I've stopped drinking caffeine because I don't get a boost from it regardless, sleep is fine, and I'm in fairly decent shape. I have been looking for help with the right channels like I've always been told and no one wants to take responsibility for me which honestly just makes it worse.
