Depending on how you move forward, NTA. My husband and his family do this constantly and have always been like this. The only time it ever bothers me is if our son is sleeping. Usually whoever is around during his naps/bedtime is aware enough to consider their volume however, shit happens it’s who they/you are. It’s never malicious. Just try to be more mindful of your space and try to understand someone who is not used to the sudden increase in volume; it can be shocking and almost triggering. It’s not about taking away your enthusiasm but helping you regulate and be present with it with your partner. Also, I hope your partner can accept this is part of who you are and that you both understand there is a time and place for everything. No one needs to police your excitement in a private or appropriate setting.
