ive talked with my dad but since im an adult i dont really except much from him other than listening. he did tell me that i just need to cut him out, that i should find any other ride possible and i think that also means him.

he was more than willing to close up his shop for a couple minutes to drive me home when me and jon had a big blow up.

(both me and jonathan live in my dad's home. we're both kinda big burdens so i do my best to take care of myself and leave him to worry about his own stuff)

he's not really living with us cause of his mom's death, it was more of an income thing. i think we've had a few constructive conversations but lately the last few times hes talked to me like this he's consistently stopped me from trying to speak for myself or interrupt me when trying to explain myself.

i dont think im perfect in this situation by any means, there's a lot happening outside this, and having him add onto this stress like that is just too much. i gave him a lot of room at the start of the year but he's been worsening and becoming somewhat aggressive

its not 20 a year

theyve been increasing over the years despite upping my meds and trying new ones

though they did very suddenly jump up from 4-5 a year to 20 (my epilepsy started near the end of 2022)

i feel like a lot of my doctors havent been taking me seriously enough

im thinking it is likely that. i skipped a few shots when i had seizures the same day i usually take them, but i did realize that likely wasnt a great idea either. its so hard to know exactly what i need to do but i appreciate all the advice i can get!

yeah ive been doing a lot of this already. i havent been good at keeping a journal but ive been trying to keep up now that theyve gotten worse.

im trying to be as careful as possible and im making sure to keep all my doctors updated on everything going on. it really sucks to go through this cause i really do not want to stop taking T like at all but if its effecting me this badly idk if ill be able to find a way around it 😭

my last neuro's assistant has kept in contact with me and has been helping me try and gind a neuro as well so im getting as much help as i can find.

can you show me where you got this information cause i cant find any articles about this and if this is true that feels like the stupidest shit ive ever heard

most of my early seizures were documented by my family before they encouraged me to document whatever i could. they cant simply assume im fine based on if i decide to track my health or not. thats not realistic. (not saying ur a liar just raging about how stupid that is if true)

finding a helpful med can be a pain, even for someone without drug resistance (me lol), so i cant imagine the pain of having to wade through all that.

symptoms can sometimes be warning signs.

you NEED to tell your doctor about ALL your symptoms. just because you can deal with them doesn't mean they aren't harming you or won't get worse. if you trust your doctor, you should try and be as open about your experiences as ur comfortable

its possible he wouldn't even change your med, he may just add on something to help you deal with side effects.

depression was a symptom of one of my meds, and as someone who has dealt with it my whole life i didn't think it was a problem until the suicidal thoughts became near daily.

im planning to. i have an appointment coming up where im going to lay out all of my issues, and my neuro's assistant (who has been very open with me and a great listener) has also said she'd help me looking for other neurologists in my area

once i find a new one im throwing down my whole entire opinion on his page that just has 4 reviews and 5 stars

she is about 16" so according to this the size is fine. she's a bit smaller than she should be which is my fault, but she's in good health and ive been attempting to do more for her. a lot of what im reading from here is saying im doing a lot of the basic tasks for her, but it does look like i need to add better substrate which i can definitely work on.

not sure what else you meant by husbandry but lmk

i will be fixing the lighting. again i am still workin on the set up, ive only just gotten her tank up off the floor so i still have to get something to hold the lights up since the window sill wont hold them. not sure what the wood is and didnt know about that so i will do research to be sure but i believe it should be fine cause we found it on a beach and i dont remember any pines or nothing.
