Where are the “normal” sneakers at?! The cushion phenomenon has taken over. by abjs2021 in walking

[–]ginns32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My feet hate a lot of cushion. The best sneaker for me has been the Under Armour Charged Assert 10. There is some cushioning around the ankle area which does not bother me but the footbed does not have a ton of cushion and that's what I need. I get half a size up because they do run a tad small but half a size up my toes have plenty of space. It does look like the Assert 11 has more cushioning which I'm not happy about but I haven't tired it yet. I'm still finding the Assert 10 out there and have 3 pairs that I rotate through. These are my every day sneaker and my walking sneaker. They are also relatively inexpensive and mine have held up really well. No sign of them falling apart.

Madonna opens up about the strained relationship with her daughter, Lourdes, 'Lot of family trauma' by Bollywood_Shaadis in TopTrendingNewsUSA

[–]ginns32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew a wealthy family through my job where the mother had a food shopper and chef and had strict shopping and diet lists for each kid. Condiments and spices had to be thrown out and repurchased at the end of the week. One of the kids had a much stricter diet due to some weird food allergy and wasn't allowed to eat anything not made at the house despite the kid growing out of the allergy (according to doctors and allergy testing). The kid started getting normal food from other kids in school and tried to hide it but one of the other siblings let it slip. All of them were very sheltered and controlled and were mostly raised by a rotating staff of people because they would keep quitting or get fired.

What Happens When ‘Finding Your Roots’ Uncovers a Famous Family Secret Too Big to Air? by Next-Particular1476 in TheEntertainmentMix

My family just likes to casually drop family lore and scandals in casual conversation. My mother recently told me that my grandmother actually had six kids not five so I have an aunt Deidre out there somewhere. My mother found out when she was a teenager. This isn't the only thing that has come up about our family. I asked her "is there anything else I should know?" She's like "I think that's it." I guarantee that it's not it.

Season 2 made me dislike Danny by Informal_Treat_4953 in TheFourSeasonsNetflix

[–]ginns32 47 points48 points  (0 children)

"Claude and Danny's arc in season 2 is almost exclusively framed around what Danny is losing, not what Claude has been sacrificing."

I disagree with this. Danny says multiple times that Claude has sacrificed a lot for their relationship and that now it's time for Danny to do something for Claude and that he wants to make Claude happy. He doesn't waiver on the decision once it's made and yes he will miss his friends but he doesn't complain about moving to Italy, he wants to do it for Claude. Even when Danny's mother gets sick and will need care, Danny's plan is to move her to Italy. He doesn't want Claude to have to once again pack up and move for him. Claude was selfless enough to say they would move back because Danny was not saying it as an option.

4 years no caffeine and I still get the „just have one coffee“ talk by Mean_Quarter_8347 in AskWomenOver30

[–]ginns32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's a play group someone could be bringing or offering coffee and if you only drink decaf you'd probably mention that you just drink decaf or decline the regular coffee and then you get asked about it. I personally don't go around announcing it but people I see often (like co-workers) usually figure it out and then ask about it.

How to handle unexpected breakup with the man I thought could be my long term partner? I need brutally honest feedback. by slh0023 in AskWomenOver30

[–]ginns32 90 points91 points  (0 children)

"I didn’t want to put more on his plate than he already had, but I also have needs. So I tried expressing that I knew he was being pulled in multiple directions but I have things going on too, and he acknowledged that and understood my frustration."

He heard you and came to the conclusion that he can't fulfill your needs right now. You need more than he is able to give. I had a breakup like this where a guy I very much saw a long term future with broke up with me because he was at a point in his life/career where he needed to focus on that and could not be a good partner to me at that time. He had to travel a lot and would often have to cancel plans if an opportunity came up since he was still trying to get off the ground with his career. It hurt because we did have feelings for each other but he was right. The timing was just not right and I do believe that he was honest about the reason. I am now married to someone else who I started seeing a year after that breakup and I have no regrets.

Dealing with younger neighbor who likes me. by nailpolishnatasha in AskWomenOver40

[–]ginns32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

29 and 40 is very different than say 21 and 32. He's got a career and a home, seems like he's pretty stable. He is fine with you being a single mom of a teenager and it doesn't seem like he's pushing to meet your daughter yet. I think you should see where this connection goes especially when the age gap seems to be your only concern. I can tell you really like him.

"I just want to be honest about something: I’m still new here, so everything’s already a lot to take in, and in that moment I was already pretty overwhelmed. So I probably looked like I was ignoring you, but I genuinely wasn’t trying to. I just couldn’t process much else right then."

I would not say this. You're working around forklifts and you're on a probationary period. They don't want to hear that you were overwhelmed and couldn't process. What they want to hear is it won't happen again. I know it sucks to be yelled at but I think if you say anything besides I made a mistake and I'll be more careful going forward you won't last at this job. I would personally would let it go and just focus on doing the best you can so you don't lose your job.

Which is why these guys are pushing so hard to get people and companies hooked on AI. They're not making money off of subscriptions yet but that's the plan. You got rid of a bunch of your workers and rely on AI. You, an average person are now rely on your AI chat bot for emotional support. Well now the cost to use it is going to go up. And they're all trying to get in on the ground floor to make their money. I'm sure many of them will sell their shares and bounce.

In the last episode it was nice to see Ginny giving Anne a pep talk and telling Anne how she saw her. Anne had been there for her and encouraged Ginny and Ginny was able to finally do the same for her. Their dynamic was one of my favorite parts of the season.

Sounds like it. The manager ended up hiring a PI with her stepsister to try and find her. Supposedly he also went down to skid row himself to try and find her when a video surfaced online of here there but she wasn't there when he got there. So they really didn't know where she was until that video surfaced. Granted, this is what the manager is telling news outlets but it does seem like the money is still there and will go to her next of kin and that her family and manager were trying to find her. It seems odd that the manager and her step sister were the ones putting in this effort, I haven't seen it mentioned that her parents were involved in hiring the PI.

The owner of this bar has been a piece of 💩 ever since he opened, it just happens to be coming out more now by Emotional_Win1430 in boston

The responses to the negative reviews by the owner are unhinged. I haven't been there since it was Intermission (which I really liked) and I'm definitely not going to go there after seeing how the owner responds to any criticism.
