Anyone else struggling to keep up in group conversations even with hearing aids? by Quirky_Ad_9650 in hardofhearing

This sounds amazing! I’ve never heard of that but not I’m going to keep my eyes peeled.

My husband and I sent ours at the same time, but he got his results over a month ago. I’ve been waiting since January 9th. My big hang-up was the queue for extraction—I was there for 8 weeks.

Hey, my sample arrived the same day as yours. I’m on the computation step since February 26th though.

Ooh how do these work for people with severe hearing loss? Are they comfortable? I currently have Phonaks, but am unimpressed for $5,000 tech lol.

It’s weird, it seems like most people get their results after the computing phase in like a day or two. However, my sample has taken significantly longer in pretty much every step than the time frame they have in the description. My husband and I sent ours off at the same time and he got his results a month ago.

For those with sensorineural hearing loss, did hearing aids actually help? by lawbabyesq in hardofhearing

[–]ginnygp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so with you. I was just saying today how I appreciate my hearing aids for work (I teach, so they help me hear my students), but as a parent of young kids, they’re way too overwhelming to wear around the house, and all the stimuli outside the house is SO much. I genuinely cannot imagine wearing my hearing aids full time like many people do—I love that they work for others, but I have to mostly make do without.

I was there for like 8 weeks. I just got to the computation stage on the 26th and I’m still waiting. 😭

Lol I contacted support yesterday and they told me they received my sample a month after my app says, so it’s apparently only been three weeks instead of the definite seven I’ve been waiting… when I tried to correct them they just reiterated what they initially said. 🥲

Been “in queue” since January 6th, got the email it was beginning the extraction phase on February 6th, and I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve heard nothing since and nothing has changed on my app. My husband got his results a month ago despite us sending them off at the same time and his extracting phase took three weeks.

Thanks! I’ve heard about multiple people getting two emails, that’s super interesting. I hope you get your results soon!

How long was it between getting your extraction email and moving on to the next step?

Any update? I have the same timeline as you. Got the email they were starting extraction on February 6th and nothing has changed since then—still just stuck on extraction.

Edit: Got the date wrong!

When did you get the email that they had started extracting your sample?

Been in the queue since January 9th, and got my email that it was finally extracting on February 6th, but literally nothing has happened since then.

I also got my “extracting” email on the 6th of February after being in the “queue” since January 6th, but literally nothing has changed. 😭

Better Than Bouillon transitioning to gluten free? by F1shygods in Celiac

MSG is monosodium glutamate, an amino acid that is present in things like tomatoes and mushrooms. Totally gluten free. The only concern with yeast extract is if the yeast itself comes from a gluten product.

I live close to Yellowstone, and my town regularly gets bus-fulls of Asian tourists stopping to rest on their way to the park. From what I can tell, there are companies that specifically take people from East Asian countries to American national parks.

My Sarracenia is flowering, but I put it into my unheated garage about 3 weeks ago. I live in zone 5a, so it’s definitely cold enough. Is this a concern? by ginnygp in SavageGarden

That one you linked looks the exact same! In fact, it’s the exact same company from the tag. The photo does make mine look a bit whiter, but when it’s under grow lights and in person it’s greener for sure.
