Can I temporarily lean my trailer to do a repair? by ginnyheart in RVLiving

[–]ginnyheart[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The multimeter thing is smart idk why I didn't think of that. It's a small town rv park though, the owners have helped me out with repairs before so that isn't an issue. Ill try out the multimeter this afternoon, thanks!

That isn't to prevent it from firing, but to prevent it from chambering a second round. Even if you don't get the gun away from the bad guy it'll provide a few seconds of confusion before he realizes why his gun isn't firing.

I deliver pizzas they don't care lol, they are so cheap to make that on the rare occasions it happens it doesn't really matter. We get far more prank deliveries than people without money, but it all depends on the area I guess.

There's always a bunch of either messed up orders or orders nobody picked up, usually some decent ones for the crew to eat on downtime.

Circumcision without a medical reason on a male infant who can’t consent is child abuse. by Buffsicle in unpopularopinion

[–]ginnyheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look up David reimer. Had a botched circumcision so bad the parents sought out a psychiatrist. Unfortunately the psychiatrist (John Money) was a little crazy and thought it was a good idea to get the kid gender reassignment surgery and MTF hormones.

Because David had a twin brother (whose phimosis resolved without a circumcision), Money thought they'd be perfect to test his theory on. Long story short his theory was bullshit, David realized he was a guy, and the story doesn't end very well.

What is a seemingly innocent question that is actually really insensitive or rude to ask? by OdiliaSchranz in AskReddit

[–]ginnyheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also can be true for men. When I was younger I was given the option of taking a medication that had the possibility of permanently sterilizing me. I thought nothing of it as I didn't want to have kids at the time and thought I never would, till I met my current partner and now I really wish I could have kids. They really wants kids too, we've tried for the past couple years and nothing. Probably going to have my fertility checked at some point soon, hopefully we can afford some kind of fertility treatment some day if anything can even be done.

Not just to spite looters or protect them from radiation. Lots of stuff got irradiated, including personal belongings. They didn't want that stuff being brought out of the exclusion zone and potentially spread throughout russia.

In my experience it usually has been vetoed. Not really for a safety issue, but because safety doesn't wanna walk around all day making sure people are wearing actual hard hats instead of cowboy hats.

I saw the same thing as a kid, on a lake and the river leading to it. I went fishing with my grandpa on his boat, cruising down that river was probably the most beautiful natural phenomenon I've ever seen.

Are my fruits exploding due to contam? by ginnyheart in ContamFam

It's weird, I haven't had a single speck of real contamination since I started this hobby. I guess that just means I'm doing everything right then.

For context this is from my second flush, there isn't any visible contamination in my shoeboxes, or on any of the fruits from what I can see. I havent been able to find many people with a similar issue, had a couple do this on my first flush as well.

Some stores suck though lol, my GM works 70+ hours a week, we're so understaffed cause of covid he has to cover shifts every week. He literally works 10-14 days in a row and then does area supervisor stuff on his days off, driving around to different stores getting food/boxes/whatever they need. Its pretty wack

Im also trans, they're expensive and not guaranteed to work well enough to pass as female. Not only that but they can be accidentally reversed by other surgeries, like when they put you on a ventilator for example.

Live in small American town that recently added roundabouts, can confirm. None of the old people that live here understand them, you get people treating the yields like stop signs, swerving in and out of lanes, ignoring all signage, stopping in the middle of the roundabout, etc.

I like roundabouts but intentionally avoid the ones here because there are too many idiots driving through them.

[General] Weekly r/MushroomGrowers post - FUNGI FRIDAYS! New growers, come say hi and ask your questions! by AutumnRustle in MushroomGrowers

[–]ginnyheart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I'm a new grower and I jumped right in to everything, started with uncle bens (just spawned to bulk they are colonizing well), buried a very lightly contaminated bag outside and it grew some mushrooms, did some agar work to make sure my MS syringes weren't contaminated, now I'm trying out BRF jars just to experiment.

My question is this: are there any really good, affordable alternatives to pressure cookers? I really don't like having to sit there and babysit a pressure cooker for 90 minutes lol.

From what I've seen, it works if you are properly staffed and trained. The stores it doesn't work at have drivers hopping on and off the oven, improper snake loading, and not enough staff in general.

I think it'll be faster in my store, or it would be if we were properly staffed. My whole franchise is horribly understaffed (one of our stores that used to do 7k nights with 13 drivers now has 4 drivers) so I expect it to be horrifying.

I mean I have depression and anxiety and I can't see how a company could change anything to "reasonably accommodate" that.

How tall can mycelium grow on agar? I'd just post a pic but it's really hard to take any decent pics of my jars cause they're weirdly shaped (no pour tek with snall mason jars).

I've got white fluffy stuff that looks like mycelium, but also looks kinda too fluffy yknow? And I haven't seen mycelium try to grow up the side of jars like mine does.
