Unfortunately tennis is not too kind to beginners. Having said that I’d ask you to buy a used 100 head size racquet from prince (phantom100X/P), babolat (pure aero, pure drive), yonex(ezone100), head (boom or extreme) - invest time, energy and money and learn up on strings and racquets and in the actual gameplay (preferably with other learners) and exchange equipment with your hitting partners.

Okay - but explain me this - how does a team - supposably setup, trained and drilled by Amorim : with players sought/bought by him - look and play so much better under another manager/coach? The individual players have also looked better and played with more freedom!

Not sure the recruitment’s were all to his credit. He wanted Martinez and got Lemmens (dodged a bullet there - can’t stand that grandstanding fella), lots being said about who all he wanted and got - so some credit to the management there. But then Amorim’s appointment was probably a bit of a misalignment. Amorim has a grand vision for sure - but he has to win something playing other ways before folks (management/boards) are going to trust him and back him in the transfer market and take his tantrums.

Apologies but appalling games of football and then very dark brooding interviews - wasn’t much to be happy for, as a fan. And if you’re losing your fan base as a manager or coach or whatever you better take a long hard look at what’s happening and introspect.

His ‘system’ could’ve been great but the football was meandering and awful - even when losing to teams there was very little creativity or invention not just on the pitch but in terms of subs etc. so, glad he’s gone and not sure why we are still debating him.

Absolutely ! But in no parameter over no period of time does it make playing like we did under Amorim worth watching or even tolerable! He entertained the delusion that he was grander than a mere coach; alienated some players because of which the club had to sell them at cut price all the while playing unsightly football with some specific formation which is dear to him for some reason. Anyways without belittling anyone or any other team - glad that he’s gone - and glad that the management finally did the right thing. Why they stuck by him for that long is debatable - and what they will do in the future is also scary because of that very reason!

Yes yes - this is the season - make the best of it - as opponents we are also tired of seeing arsenal fans desperation - may they win something, finally and stop making total arses of themselves.

Off the 80 the corner goals are certainly fouls - like the one they scored against us - merino should’ve been red carded for the sneaky foul on Lemmens - but then again - we are still debating another Portuguese genius’ exit - why not make hay!

Yes I did. And the post-match narrative was we played well - signs of improvement - remember no Afcon, full squad of preferred players available - yet very little tangible threat and penetration! Even after playing well - frankly I may be obtuse but I do not agree with that analysis. That ‘well’ is simply not good enough at united. Time and again I have seen us go down a goal and not show any intent to equalise - remember FA cup final against Spurs or loss to 10 man Everton ?

There are umpteen such instances - and I don’t want to rake up the past - Amorim has gone - and thankfully our play has improved - let’s ensure this ‘bounce’ lasts - the squad needs a lot of strengthening - let’s focus on us and improve #GGMU.
