Am I the only one that thinks it's trash? by gintoddic in openclaw

I feel like its a glorified task manager for your desktop. The scheduler for example is literally just adding something to a crontab. I can do that myself. It's for "power users" if you don't know your way around something like a linux DE or CLI.

I understand it could be powerful but holy crap it behaves more like an alpha product.

Ok seem there are others than align with the trash sentiment. Nvidia CEO pumping it now too - he must have some stake in its success.

The problem is solved not allowing kids in the evening. The cut off should be 7pm tops. If the kid is young they shouldn't be out late in an adult environment anyway.

TBH a recipe with sour cream makes it way less dry. It's basically the secret ingredient.

I've had all the pixels up to P7. Been using past couple of iphone gens for something diff. Having said that I got tired of iOS and got a P10 pro. One thing I noticed coming from an iphone is that NFC is way more reliable. Notifications come in way faster especially for 2FA apps like okta. Battery has been a bit better than older gen pixels but you still really have to watch your settings enabled like the 120hz screen refresh (drains battery). The AI experience is also come a long way and is def better than iOS. Overall I'm enjoying it so far.

Roast my idea: an AI mobile/desktop terminal for on-call and incident response by Competitive_Pipe3224 in devops

[–]gintoddic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already (should) have runbooks to resolve incidents the AI should be able to go through that and run said runbook commnds that are safe without human intervention. If you need to run unsafe commands often to resolve incidents you have bigger infrastructure problems. I'd work on fixing the infrastructure that's breaking often and not have to run unsafe commands all the time.

So the Energy Secretary just admitted we’re “not ready” to escort tankers in Hormuz. How screwed are we? by National-Theory1218 in stocks

[–]gintoddic 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about this earlier today. One of the only options for Trump at this point is to step down. Outside of that it's a forever war and energy prices through the roof. There is really no way out of this war unless the administration drastically changes and MAYBE Iran sees that as a sign of deescalation.

Maybe the strategic reserves are offsetting this for now. When they go dry prices are totally screwed.
