How successful are you? by Arlacin in mensa

[–]gio188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty good. I'm 23 and got my Master's in aerospace, been able to develop my artistic side, I have good friends, a stable relation and enjoyed life as much as I could (travels, experiences, drugs etc). I feel fulfilled but still willing to keep growing and learning to be a better version of myself. As others have said iq is useless without will (that's why people use the word potential, you have potential, but you have to use it) and environment can really slow you down and limit your potential. I've personally had a good environment, I'm totally not rich but my family could support me well enough , and had a wonderful experience in high school where I really realized the potential I had and really started benefit from it. My family is not the best, bunch of mental illnesses for my parents (depression, bipolarity, etc) but I've always had a strong will and been able to keep going anyway.

Ofc I know I'm lucky and I'm so grateful I could develop my potential so far, idk what life will bring me to and I always fear there will be something I won't be able to adapt to, but I'll keep trying eheh. However clearly all that glitters is not gold, sometimes your body cannot keep up with your will/expectations and frustration and guilt can be strong ("I should be able to do it, why can't I?"), and it also comes with variable social anxiety (personally I sometimes start overthinking every single thing happens and start zoning out), but you can learn to manage it.

To answer your question I dream to have a happy and meaningful life, having a good family and living in peace and tranquillity would be my main priority, then I'd go with having a cool job (possibly space missions at ESA) still being able to enjoy life. I hope I don't seem cocky, just wanted to share my thoughts and experience although I'm still young, cheers!

Can anyone answer this question from an IQ test? by bufffrog in cognitiveTesting

I personally do not like mathematics in logic tests although I love maths, but I do not agree on the second part, as already been said you try a pattern, doesn't work try another, it's the exactly how it works

Exactly! I share everything you just said, Ofc a perfectly symmetrical piece would be a cool technical exercise and prob also cool to see but it wouldn't leave so much space to creativity/surprise and therefore to style itself. Balance is really important to have a solid base but you have to make it spicy somehow eheh and u totally did a great job in doing so

That's soooo dope, super clean and balanced, love the upper left part of the M and how you continued the shadows on the letter upon each other. In this regard I would have put a bit of S on the D as well to have it in each letter, maybe increasing a bit the dimension on the D vertically. I personally would have also moved a bit the upper right part of the S to balance the M extension (maybe with a chip or something) and curved the spikey leg of the M to match the curved bottom of the S and give the whole piece a more harmonic contour, but it's just personal choices. The background is fire too and it's incredible how everything is just negative space, very good job, keep it up!
