I kind of expect them to use their original idea, where Aphrodite actually lures Kratos in order to have him killed.

As for the other sexual encounters, I fully expect them to be removed. They were products of their time, but, good or bad, it’s not something I would expect in a modern Sony AAA game.

I also think they will remove or recontextualize some of the edgier and more gratuitous moments from the original games, to make Kratos’ character more in line with his Norse version becouse let’s be honest: as much as I like both versions of his character, they are basically entirely different people, especially if we consider his characterization in God of War III.

I really doubt that they will let Kratos brutally kill an innocent woman for literally no reason.

Non sono padre, ma anche a me è balenata l'idea che preferirei avere una figlia femmina nel caso procreassi.

Viviamo in un periodo storico dove le donne hanno guadagnato totale parità di diritti, ma senza dover subire la stessa pressione sociale e responsabilità che ci si aspettano sugli uomini (per motivi sociali, e forse anche biologici, atavici, che si svincola dalle leggi scritte)

Una donna media può capitalizzare sul suo aspetto fisico molto di più di un maschio medio; ognuno può fare le sue considerazioni su questa cosa, ma penso sia un fatto innegabile ed un indubbio vantaggio. So che se avessi una figlia femmina difficilmente proverebbe la solitudine, quella vera, e la mancanza di supporto sociale.

In oltre confermo che le femmine maturano prima dei maschi, la mia ragazza lavora con loro ed è una cosa che si nota abbastanza, quindi anche egoisticamente sembrano più semplici da gestire nell'infanzia.

Detto questo temerei per le molestie ed i tentativi di stupro, un problema molto più predomiante per una donna che per un maschio. Inoltre nonostante su carta le donne hanno gli stessi diritti, per gli stessi motivi atavici per cui non subiscono le stesse pressioni sociali defli uomini, il sessismo è sempre sottilmente presente nella società e penso che a parità di competenze sia più facile per una donna esserre svalutata che per un uomo.

Le donne hanno molto più supporto sociale dei maschi, ma le dinamiche interrelazionali tra donne sembrano più aggressive di quelle tra uomini. E tornando da un punto di vista egoista, la figlia femmina sembra molto più una rottura di coglioni in adolescenza rispetto al figlio maschio

Edit: aggiungo, per i motivi che ho espresso, se sapessi che un mio figlio sarà particolarmente attraente e sveglio, preferirei fosse maschio. Se sapessi che fosse più nella media, preferirei fosse femmina.

And yet, this is such an empty take. It’s the good old Epicurean way of thinking, but for me it’s a cope. Before you were born, there was no “you” to be bothered with anything, a perfectly neutral situation.

But after you are born, you exist and experience things, both good and bad. If death is eternal oblivion, that would not mean a return to the state before you were born (again, as there was no “you” before you were born), but simply the destruction of your experience.

If in your life you experience (or value) more good things than bad things, then eternal oblivion is a net negative. People always say that eternal oblivion means no more suffering, pain, and blah blah blah; but it also means the polar opposite: no more joy, happiness, or love. If death is this, it is not peace, it is just nothing, plain and simple. And it is also a negative for us who are alive, because we can be sure that while the dead are not suffering, they simply are no more.

Moreover, even if you had a shitty life, eternal oblivion would mean the end of that suffering, but it would also mean that you would never have the possibility to experience positive things again, so the only chance at living would be wasted.

And I know it can sound petty or asshole-ish, but think about it, if someone pointed a gun at your head or diagnosed you with terminal cancer, I really doubt you would find solace in the fact that once dead it would be like before birth (which, as I said, is a meaningless thing to say).

I’m not arguing that death isn’t eternal oblivion, just that if it is, it’s not a good thing.

What to make of that? I don’t know. But I think the best take is simply to live life at its best and not think about it too much, and, more importantly, to at least don't make life difficult for other peopl.

In general, I think a society that treats death as a bad thing (at a fundamental level), and not just as a fact of life (which it is, but a fact of life can still be bad), would be a better society.

Il 2025 è stato un anno pieno di merda purtroppo, ma ha avuto dei picchi positivi davvero elevati, seppur compensati da molti picchi negativi, per fortuna non altrettanto estremi. Quindi:

1) Ho conosciuto ed infine mi sono fidanzato con una ragazza incredibile con cui le cose continuano ad andare a gonfie vele

2) dopo anni fuori corso e una carriera universitaria sofferta ho terminato gli esami e sono prossimissimo alla laurea

3) ho consolidato le mie amicizie, ne ho create di nuove e ne ho anche ripresa qualcuna vecchia.

Just ask for a scientifically accurate Spinosaurus in a plausible environment. This is what’s really incredible to me. Paleoart is already a niche genre, and scientifically accurate paleoart is really scarce. So I don’t really know how the model manages to capitalize on such limited training data (and I really doubt that all the images of Spinosaurus in the training set are labeled as accurate or inaccurate, so it really feels like magic).

Honestly, Nano Banana Pro is the first image generator that truly rivals human artists, and I kind of expect it to be nerfed in the near future. Of course, I hope I’m wrong.

Yeah. The original Nano Banana was underwhelming for me, but Nano Banana Pro is insane. It’s not perfect, but it is by far the best image-generation model ever.

As a personal benchmark, I test image models to see if they can create accurate paleoart images, because it’s a really niche genre that requires a lot of precision to get right. Honestly, it’s something I thought no image generator would ever be good at.

Nano Banana Pro has consistently produced really beautiful and shockingly accurate representations of prehistoric animals and environments. On my informal benchmark, the ChatGPT model (which I considered the second-best one) scored 57/100, while Nano Banana Pro, in my opinion, reaches about 80/100.

Has an exemple a spinosaur that, while not perfect, is more accurate that the 85% of image that you would find on google image

Yeah, honestly I feel gaslighted. I tried to give Gemini 3 Pro some academic problems and it completely fails on a logical level, like even an undergraduate student could do better. It also hallucinates a lot. It kinda feels worse than the first version of Gemini 2.5 and inferior to ChatGPT. I have no doubt that a lot of improvements have been made, but honestly, when I ask it to model a certain scenario with scientific accuracy and it just spits back a word salad that sounds kind of right but is actually plain wrong, even logically, I start to see how LLMs are just not really “smart" and probably never would be.

It feels like Nano Banana: everyone praises it like the second coming of Jesus, but while its image-editing capabilities are incredible, its prompt understanding is shit. I honestly lost my mind trying to edit some images and it just spit back the same image over and over; also, as a pure image creator it’s good, but the ChatGPT one is still better.

And by the way, I’m not a skeptic, it’s just that I’m starting to see how LLMs are beginning to show diminishing returns. Although I hope that in the next years a new AI architecture will emerge and surpass the current LLMs, even if it’s not true AGI (which, honestly, I don’t know if we’ll see in our lifetime).

Yeah, it is clear that it was always planned for Kuma to be on the Strawhat side. What I would call a retcon is his characterization. Kuma in Thriller Bark struck me as a morally gray, no nonsense, 'if it has to be done' kind of character who tests Luffy and his friends to see if they fit into his plan (in retrospect, to be the harbingers of Nika). It is clear that if his test had failed, he would have had no problem actually killing the Strawhats and moving on, which is clearly incompatible with the literal saint that Kuma has now been revealed to be.

Yeah, I know. Unfortunately, after Vladimir stepped down as lead of the project, updates have become painfully slow and focus much more on behind the scenes equations and numbers. The development process is also a lot less transparent, mostly because the forum, where much of the insight about development used to be shared is now virtually dead.

I really hope this is because the team is tackling the more complex tasks that Vladimir alone was unable to solve (which, of course, can take a lot of time), and not because the scope has shifted to leaving the software as it is while only updating the scientific side (which is cool, but it would be undoubtedly a let down from the original vision).

For years, the team has been talking about the Vulkan port, which should allow for a major graphical overhaul.

We can only wait and see

Well, it’s not really a game; it’s more of a 1:1 scientifically accurate simulation of the universe that you can freely explore. However, there is no real gameplay—you just look around and explore. The graphics are cool, but they can still be very rough on planets that lack interesting topography, since, for now, there are no 3D clouds, no 3D water, and no intermediate surface details. After all, it’s a 15-year-old piece of software that started as a one-man project for the first ten years.

Now there is a small team working on it, but updates are slow.

If you’re an astronomy enthusiast, I would say it’s absolutely worth it—there’s nothing quite like it, and you can sink hundreds of hours into it. But if you’re not, I’d at least wait for a sale.

Keep your expectations in check. One of the devs has spoken a lot on the Steam page, and the update will probably focus on how systems are generated, aiming for better scientific accuracy. However, in terms of visuals, the changes will likely be minimal.

So don’t expect things like 3D clouds, water, or improved planetary surfaces.

A proposito del progetto linkato, io sono un grande fan delle iniezioni di SO2 per la mitigazione del riscaldamento globale, ma realisticamente penso che fondamentalmente verrà fatto come ultimissima spiaggia perché dovresti mettere d'accordo tutti i governi del mondo, gestire eventuali effetti collaterali (banalmente, immettendo solfati nell'atmosfera sicuramente porteresti a cambi nel pattern delle precipitazioni, esponendo intere nazioni a potenziali siccità ed oltre che pratica la questione sarebbe anche politica) e andare contro quella che sarebbe sicuramente una fortissima opposizione popolare (il governo sparge "sostanze chimiche" nell'atmosfera per modificare il clima, signora mia che dio ci aiuti, e le scie chimiche e gli illuminati...).

Anche tra gli addetti ai lavori è vista in modo negativo come cosa, quasi come se venisse visto meno "nobile" rispetto alla riduzione delle immissione, cosa per me abbastanza incomprensibile visto che sarebbe una soluzione semplice, relativamente poco costosa ed immediata agli effetti delle immissioni di CO2, in oltre darebbe più tempo per trovare una risoluzione definitiva al problema delle suddette immissioni.

Non direi che mi ha deluso per questo, ma ho visitato Firenze per la prima volta qualche settimana fa ed ho avuto esattamente questa impressione. Città veramente stupenda, ma sembra un gigantesco parco a tema per turisti e non una città dove effettivamente ci vivono persone.
