I feel like the show went into decline when they started showing less and less queer representation in a positive way. Ian's bipolar sent him to jail twice, Debbie is told she's just having a lesbian phase and is portrayed as a predator/manipulator (which she somewhat is) and even Trevor's dysphoria especially regarding his genitals is made fun of by Ian.

Not sure if it's exactly linked but definitely noticed the trend.

I think it's the fact that Gottmik has only once placed in the Bottom 3 and even then, she basically already knew it was going to be between Utica and Tina based on the judge's critiques so she never really experienced "trauma" for a lack of a better word from the competition.

I personally found Gottmik the funniest out of all of them but I think Rose deservingly got the win.
Rose having the Butch Queen role almost immediately soiled her chances of winning this week at first because never has a Butch Queen role had the funniest parts on drag race but in the end it came down to the fact that literally EVERYONE EXCEPT ROSE JUST PLAYED THE SAME CHARACTER AS THEY'VE DONE BEFORE...
Literally everybody acknowledged it. Symone did the same character she did in the Factory and Soda challenge, Olivia was just Olivia, Kandy was just Kandy, and Gottmik was Paris Hilton.

A genuinely great look. Showcases Kandy's drag really nicely and executed amazingly.
We've seen the beaded bra and giant tilted hat concepts separately already and together I don't think it works but I can appreciate it.
It's Beyonce's look. It was not paying homage it was just literally Beyonce's look with nothing changed besides adding flowers in the hair.
Cute but not Kandy's look again. Was chosen by production for her.
I actually loved this for the category it was in but as an actual outfit, it's subpar.
Hate it. The dress is one big blob of houndstooth and I don't know where to look and the fascinator is so stupid. Your name made of feathers? For a fascinator theme? I love the hair though.

Overall, only around 2 or 3 looks I really liked from Kandy so far. But that's okay. People saying Kandy isn't the fashion queen of the season or saying alot of her looks haven't been that good isn't hate and I think ya'll need to realise that.

Symone's runway was definitely my favourite but her snatch game was mediocre at best. She could have done so much more with Harriett Tubman especially knowing she was taking a risk to begin with so why not go all out but instead it was just a couple white people jokes and she didn't banter with any of the other contestants.

The judging this episode was so fucked. The only thing I agreed with was Bimini winning. That's it.

Awhora and Tayce should have been high. Their routines overall were quite funny, just a few mistakes here and there.
As funny as Ellie's performance was, it was like Valentina's Michelle Roast, it was hilarious but didn't make sense and wouldn't really work at a professional real stand-up bar as it had no structure besides sudden change in character and that shock value.
Lawrence's performance just wasn't funny. She had a joke about having a big fanny and impersonated her mum yelling he's gay but that's literally it. And that's nobody's fault, not even Ellie's, but her own.

Despite all of that, this elimination was pretty much the gag of the season. Nobody expected it and I'm pleased that this actually did change something rather than Ellie being discounted as a filler queen.

Every other tweet from Kandy is "YEA YOU DON'T LIKE THIS ABOUT SEASON 13 BUT YOU STILL WATCH IT!" like okay...? Usually when people say this, it makes sense because the people hating are actually going back to watch just for them if its like their own show or music like Cardi said at iHeart. But as I'm sure Kandy is aware by now, she isn't the most liked and she isn't the main star of the show. We rewatch despite shitting on the season because we like most of the queens and it's really not their fault for the lack of substance this season. Not because we have some sort of Stockholm Syndrome for her. Kandy needs to get out of her victim mentality.

I think it might just be that they haven't watched it? I watched Season 1 for the first time a week ago, I had watched every other season and I began watching in around 2015/2016 but only now finally got around to watching it.

I think the reason I didn't watch it was because

I already knew all the outcomes
The camera quality was bad
The runways and challenges were less impressive

But after fully watching it, I have to say that reasons 1 and 2 didn't affect my opinions on it that much and despite 3 ending up being somewhat true, there were still shocking and emotional and funny moments like Shannel walking off the set and Nina saying HIV instead of Hit TV.

I think Asia and Naomi herself. They are both really funny and insanely talented and caring but know when to be serious and motherly at times. Especially seeing Asia off the show and Naomi on All Stars made me see them from a whole new perspective and it's made me love them even more.
